will losing out on Pickett and Carter be a kick in the nuts....yes

but, we know Mario is never gonna stop recruiting these guys and then its on us to go out and win 10-11-12 games and compete for a Conference Championship and Playoff berth.

Do that and we still give ourselves a shot at the very end!

We win 10 games, we can at the very least put ourselves in a position to grab anyone we want.

Will it automatically mean flipping 5-stars committed to likely playoff-bound schools? No, but you’d have zero shot if you win 8 games or less with this roster in Year 3. 10 wins + his recruiting prowess at least gives you a very, very good chance.

win 10-11-12 games and it makes A LOT of guys think.....

You seem to forget that Picketts family connections to Miami. He’s also grown up a huge canes fan. If we have the season we expect to have, there is absolutely no reason we should be able to flip him

Never said specifically he wouldn’t flip. If we win 10 games I expect him to flip, but it’s not a slam dunk. You also seem to forget Lanning has lost I think one recruit due to a flip, might be two. It’s even less than Mario, so despite all those connections, it won’t be easy.

Regardless, you don’t win on the field, you’re not flipping him. Matter of fact, it won’t look pretty in December. Forget last year, this is Year 3. There are no more false promises and looking to the future selling a vision to kids.

The future is now, and it’s put up wins, or we’ve got ourselves our version of Jimbo Fisher

Pretty sure it's been said he did not grow up a canes fan and that's part of the problem. He's never seen us be legit
