The Bank (11/13)

He’s going to play Football/Baseball at UF if he’s not drafted high enough.

That’s what I’ve heard.
And they really do seem sold on Judd, so if they are not moving on from him I rather them concentrate on getting good QB(s) in the portal that can help next year.

There are six schools we aren’t passing should head coaching positions remain firm: UGA, Bama, FSU, Ohio St, Oregon and Texas. I know the latter is only a smidge ahead of us in the rankings, but they’re probably going to land Kobi Black and a few others when it’s all set in stone.

I say HC positions because if Lanning (or Norvell) bolt, obviously that changes things. Maybe A&M stays ahead instead of Oregon, idk. But I think it’s relatively safe to say we’re not passing those 6.

That leaves a UF collapse (en route but they can add a guy like Mincey to stop the hemorrhaging), OU, A&M, Auburn, Michigan, Penn St, LSU, Tennessee, Clemson and USC as teams all within the same realm as us. If you want to include SCar, sure, but I don’t think they’re a true threat to pass us.

LSU, Penn St and Michigan all have the same # of commits as us, but USC and Clemson both have eight less. USC will emphasize portal approach imo, but Clemson is an interesting one. Auburn also can jump us rather quickly as they have $$ ready and seven less commits.

As of today, I’d say we finish 10. Should we lose to Louisville and BC, I say we finish closer to 15.

I honestly don't give two ****s about where we land. I want to solve our problems! If we land the top 25 OL in the country, we are going to SUCK!

Move on from 2-3 kids. Land 3-4 of the best kids willing to sign at Miami. If we only end up with 23 and 15th ranked, go to the portal and land guys that are starter material for 1-3 years while we continue to eval/develop/recruit. Push out kids on campus that aren't good enough to play be it due to talent, size, IQ...

100% in agreement. I care where we finish in terms of average rating per recruit because that is the true measurement of how good your class is per player acquired. Data shows stars = wins and stars = draft picks, all good things for your program and just adds to the recruiting ammunition.

Easier said than done pushing out kids. I’ve maintained for a while that plenty of these 3-stars will be pushed out, IF we are in a position to push them out. Even some 4-stars like Artavius Jones…not being highly sought after by other programs due to some underwhelming senior year tape, but we’re in no position to push out DTs.

That’s why when DMoney said they like what they have at DB, I chuckled. Same ol chit, different regime. Gonna need lots of portal help or somehow land Ellis or Mincey.

Sorry....but that "Stud" comment you got from your source reeks of desperation and obvious anger at the fanbase for the criticism being thrown at Mario.

The QB position is the hardest to evaluate and kids come out of nowhere to be good at that spot all the time......but on paper we look like an absolute mess right now at THE MOST important position in the sport.

Mario the recruiter is getting paid a lot of money to recruit 3 star "studs".

Stars are also based on the prior performance of coaches (evals that have been successful). None of the recruiting sites actually evaluate players at this point.

For example, I'm actually a little shocked our lower-ranked O-linemen haven't gotten bumped simply due to the performance of Cooper and McCoy.

I don't see us pushing out lots of the 3-star kids. I see 3 kids on the list that should be looking IMO. Jones has flashed but needs to transform his body. DBs- I'll let the experts on here talk about them since we have a few who know that position well. I will say that is the least of my concerns because we've now landed multiple starters out of the portal: TS, Porter, Davis, Richards...

The feeling I have is that if we don’t win out, this class will be lucky to finish in the top 15. The sharks are circling. People are laughing at the Gators, rightfully so, but don’t realize that the barbarians are at our gate as well.
Actually I think FSU game gave us a boost because they saw how hard we fought and how good this D can be. I mean we just stole a top 10 UL recruit from them and we haven't even played them yet.

Let’s revisit this in the next 7 days, please. Maybe your eyes will be opened.

Say what you want but Miami has shown it is a physical team. I think the defensive recruits have taken a liking to that

The OL as well

We do need to be more appealing to offensve skill players though

Think it depends on how this Louisville game goes. If we get clapped then there could be some movement but if it's another battle like FSU, I think we will be fine

We need to win, plain and simple. Do people not understand how bad things are right now? We are on the verge of the wheels falling off. 7-5 let alone 6-6 in year two is a disaster. With 8-4 we at least can point to improvement, not the other two scenarios.

We always need to win. I def won't dispute that but Mario has so far, done well holding onto his commitments. That is 1 positive thing I can say about him lol

Mincey and McCray visiting for the Louisville game, per Gaby.

Miami needs to win that game. No excuses. Time for TVD to sack up, defense to try to hold Louisville to 21 or under and win the game. Need a couple turnovers to break Miamis way. That’s probably the one way Miami wins.

In our last 6 games (conference play), we are 2-4. Clearly trending in the wrong direction. We need to win out if we want our class to stay in the top 12.

He cant catch and wont get much eperation. If i m huim i declare though because his clear weaknesses are there to see this year.
Someone would jump due to him being 6'6 230 and think they can make him into a Travis Kelce- Jimmy Graham.
Yeah I wasnt impressed by him much. Sounds like he will be going the route of big flex TE role in the NFL.

I like Coleman but im interested to see what his 40 time is.
