If Carr gains a star, the 'experts' must expect him to decommit. Markel Bell dropped 5 spots and lost a star the day after he committed to us.
I do notice that it does happen so I would be shocked if he did go up tbh but for the star whores I wanted to get them going a 5* WR

He’s a 5-star talent no doubt imo. Best WR in our class.

JUCO’s are hardly ever 5-stars so I wasn’t irked by Bell slightly dropping. The three guys ahead of him are all 4-stars, It probably would have been worse if we didn’t have the benefit of Mario + Mirabal and their track record for OL development. It’s CIS complaining for no reason and creating false narratives again.

There hasn’t been a 5-star JUCO since Jarrett Stidham in 2017.

Green, Dent, Jones, Fiske, DeLoach are also all gone on defense as Seniors...
I won’t post the link, but all can go to Ourlads.com to see fspoo’s depth chart. Just the starters is littered w/sr’s and Jr’s. Almost all. They will lose almost all their offense and defense production…

In an era of college football with NIL, no initial counters, and two separate transfer portal periods, a team can easily flip 40% of its roster in one off-season. Forfeit State should lose a lot of top-end talent (on both sides of the ball), but I still think it's wise to wait until after NSD to start looking comparing rosters.

Yea college football has completely changed. With the portal its no such thing as a rebuild since you can bring players in during the spring and summer. It will all depend on who they have at QB.

We need to win, plain and simple. Do people not understand how bad things are right now? We are on the verge of the wheels falling off. 7-5 let alone 6-6 in year two is a disaster. With 8-4 we at least can point to improvement, not the other two scenarios.
If we win the next two games this will be a good season. Basically 9-3 if not for the brain fart and ACC malfeasance.

Get a portal QB and a few guys stay one more year to improve their draft stock and we fuccin'.

Not too many juggernaut games next year.

ACC will always be a mid conference and we should always win 9 games but never do. Have to win that first game @UF.

You can sell an 8-4 season for sure. You cant sell 7-5 let alone 6-6.

You have to draw lines somewhere... and the difference isnt just mental it works out overall in ranking. You can sneak into the top 25 with an 8-4 record, but not 7-5.
That wasn't sarcasm on my part, I was 100% agreeing with you.

I think the difference between 8-4 and 7-5 is bigger than any other one win difference in terms of perception of a team.

You mean like the WR class that if we can close on is probably the best in the history of UM recruiting? Maybe you meant the top 5 rated RB we have committed.
Why don’t we worry about holding onto them and winning the next two games before speaking definitively.

Just like how y’all get upset when people call out this class is 18th in average rating per recruit and has massive holes at key positions, and highlight how it’s not signing day yet. Would love to win the next two and close strong both on the field and recruiting, it would be massive heading into ‘24 with a cookie cake schedule…but this offense hardly inspires any sort of confidence.

Lose to Louisville (especially because of struggling to score) and we’ll see decommitments no one wants to see.
