Something to consider if anyone is questioning the recruiting class at this stage of the process - it was as late as last November of last season that many of us (myself included) were berating the staff for whiffing on major targets, citing the team's poor performance on the field as the rationale for why elite recruits were choosing different schools. Then Justin Scott flipped and everything snowballed from there. The DL position was an area of need, and the coaching staff really shored up the position by Signing Day.

This year, we're playing much better. An elite offense and plenty of young players (OJ, Lofton, etc.) getting big-time burn. Have to think the close is going to be even stronger this season if the team continues to perform well.

I am not an insider but based on convo’s I’ve had.. look for JoJo to go crazy the next few weeks. It’s time
Definitely something an insider would say...

Is your question "when are we going to start signing multiple Top 3 classes?"

My answer is, "never". Maybe win a national championship this year and we can talk about it.

But you're not just going to jump Texas, Ohio State, UGA, Alabama, Oregon, LSU, etc.

Can we recruit better classes than those programs occasionally? Absolutely. We had the 4th ranked class last year. Are we going to stack multiple Top 3 classes on top of each other? Incredibly unlikely. Those other schools have great recruiters, program pedigree, and unlimited resources. Beating them every single year is going to take consistent on-field success and an even bigger commitment to NIL. Probably not very realistic, honestly. And that's fine. We can accomplish every goal we want to accomplish recruiting classes in the Top ~6 every year. Top 3 is another level.
Hard to beat 20 million a year.
