Taylor Edwards hired

I'm really starting to question Mario. We're not supposed to have these issues with him.

I just mean, at the time Mario came to UM, Taylor Edwards was elsewhere, and Miami had both Alonzo Highsmith and Dennis Smith. Meaning, there wasn't really a role available at that time, or else the right opportunity to offer a role to Edwards.

That wasn't a swipe at Dennis, though it's not a secret how I feel about Dennis.

Now, as to relying on Dennis for three years, even with big wins, but also with some big losses, then I do look to Mario for that. If this re-org works out, I will give Mario full credit. It is still belated.

How is no one bringing up the Zach Smith fiasco and college coaching ring rendezvous with stewardesses. It's like the P Diddy scandal for college coaches 😳 So many head coaches implicated and then Zach Smith gets ostracized and made to be a liar. It was all true. Tom Herman has been cursed ever since and can't win

What’s the story here? I only heard that Smith might have abused his wife.

I’m biased because I know Dennis, but he will have a big role going forward and some of the discourse on him has gone too far. He’ll be the first to admit faults, but he’s also done some major things. For example, without him, there is no Cam Ward in Miami.

Edwards is a major step in the right direction. We need more strong voices and more people to do the various, rapidly changing tasks the personnel department requires.
I know you’re close to him, but it’s not fair to just point out for things he’s done without acknowledging the players he’s helped lose and damage in some parts of the community plus the recent damage with our resident former player/agent, whatever the cleanup on aisle nine was done after.

It would be awesome if somebody finally clarified what he does, or doesn’t do because on the one hand we’ve heard from people who are good posters here that he doesn’t do the evaluations, and then the other hand we have heard from other very good posters that he has overruled coaching evaluations on players they wanted.

Love this move❗️Anything we do to get better evaluations to hit on more recruits and transfers is a step in the right direction for any program that is serious about winning
