Talk lately has me a little nervous about 2020 football season. Thoughts?

Do you think we will play football in 2020?

Too many unknowns for me to hedge a bet with any certainty but my gut tells me we will be lucky to get college football back next spring.

Yes, we will.

The numbers are vastly overstated - you fall through an elevator shaft - you had a cough - you died from COVID-19.

You sneeze and fall into a pool of alligators - you died from COVID-19.

You realize your parents all these years have voted Democrat and shoot yourself while with a runny nose - you died from COVID-19.

And full exposure in no time. In case you haven’t seen, the virus just ramped up in China again after they thought they curved it. We’re trying to force things back to normal, and again, that will be another wave. Now they are finding out people don’t even know they have it, which is even more dangerous.
Unfortunately, all the rednecks care about it is the economy and swallowing whatever nonsense Jim Jones feeds them. And, as dimwitted rednecks typically are, they're too shortsighted to realize that the economy will suffer more if there's a 2nd outbreak that's worse than the first one from ending the restrictions too quickly.

There will be no MLB until the players association decides it's safe for them. There is no discussion on that. They have the power and right.
CFB - Slim to none the chance. The NCAA and schools will be scare to death of lawsuits. Can you imagine OSU or LSU or BAMA in empty stadiums?
NBA players association is not that powerful but being a full physical sport you can bet the chance is slim to none. Closed arenas..
NFL - There is no way in **** there will be pro football football. Is just common sense health over money all day for them.
CFB - Slim to none the chance. The NCAA and schools will be scare to death.
GOLF? I can see that without public.

Thats the way it is. The world changed either you liked or not.

They could easily play golf. Golf courses are still open out here in AZ.

Governor in CT already catching crap because a child died from accidental strangulation due to carelessness from a babysitter. They tried to classify it as a COVID death because the child had COVID-19 even though it had nothing to do with it.

Absolutely inflated numbers around the US for sure. Heard a stat that hospitals are getting $19k for patients being taken in with COVID-19 diagnosis and then $38k per patient being put on a respirator.

Have to believe with that kind of stuff going on, it's happening in other places as well.

We’re playing this year even if it’s just conference games. Everybody needs to stop being so sensationalized. The flu has claimed more lives, this is just spreading at 3x times the rate. Gloves, washable mask, washing your hands, drink water, and shower after coming back in and everything will be peachy.

Tell that to the kids, any responsible parent or guardians like Universities. Is nonsense.

This is most likely going to die by the summer as soon as the temps rise and all the precautions put in place now. They’ll be able to reopen with precautions set and they won’t need full blown testing by then even though we’ll still need it. Everybody is just being sensationalized.

There's a ton of scenarios, covering the entire spectrum. From the entire season being cancelled to a full season being played. I think it's going to come down to how quick a resolution can be found for this pandemic. Personally, I'm still holding out hope that at the very least a partial season comprised of conference games and bowls will be played. Depending on how dire or encouraging things get will dictate if fans will be in attendance. Might be wishful thinking but I think fans will be in attendance. That's the point of live games. It's where NCAA and schools are able to generate a lot of revenue.

Way more Revenue comes from tv than tickets and concessions

Overall the football will be bad, for us particularly this was important off season that we're missing with out in a new offense

Incredible, undefeated in year two. Manny truly was the man to bring Miami back.

I’m optimistic we have some sort of start to the season but what concerns me more is that we are a week or two into it and a handful of these kids get sick and test positive - they will lock things instantly if that happens. Would rather have no season than one that lasts a few weeks and gets pulled.
