Talk lately has me a little nervous about 2020 football season. Thoughts?

Do you think we will play football in 2020?

California has indicated that there will not be large gatherings for the rest of the year. I expect some schools will cancel the season and some will play in empty stadiums.

I'm curious about something. If Large gatherings won't happen until next year doesn't that mean school's won't re-open because you can't put 10 kids per classroom?

Almost a third of America will have zero new cases by next week. By next Friday, new cases in Florida will be under 200 a day (the per day average has dropped by 30% this week). By the end of May we will start to see zero new cases in about 60-70% of the country. Football will be played in November.

For all the guys who keep saying "shortened season" I ask why. Why do they have to shorten it? They can potentially start it late, but there's no viable reason to shorten it. It's a zillion dollar business that people are obsessed with. Why do they have to finish the season by January?

P.S. Trump wants everything open. I don't know what **** looks like elsewhere, but here in Florida, they're already starting to re-open beaches. All they needed was the wink from Trump. We're going to play college football this year. Not sure when it'll start or if it'll be in empty stadiums, but we're playing.

I think they will play I think it will be with no fans for sure. Bc you would want to protect your team. And to tell you the truth I wouldn't want to go to a game unless I knew there was a vaccine

Jacksonville beach's are opening.

My opinion on what 2020 could be if they don’t play this year:

Did I hear the the regular flu deaths are at 30k plus now with the average around 90k per year and isn't a concern or thought ?

I'd say slim chance. Maybe the same as a 9/5 start.
Make no mistake. I NEED cfb in the fall.

That's my "throw it against the wall" guess.
What's yours?

They can’t have a season starting in late 20/early 21 and then turn around and have the season starting on time in fall 21. For a starting point, the injury factors would be too great.

I think they have a “season” this fall, even if one that has less games starting in late September. I guess the PAC 12 might sit out, but who really cares.

I know they are. Like I said, all Trump Jr. needed was the wink from daddy. Florida will be full steam ahead in no time.

And full exposure in no time. In case you haven’t seen, the virus just ramped up in China again after they thought they curved it. We’re trying to force things back to normal, and again, that will be another wave. Now they are finding out people don’t even know they have it, which is even more dangerous.

This is the year two thousand and Covid. Those who adjust will survive. They should have all games viewable via payperview. Empt stadium. All players class online. NCAA football survives.
