Talk lately has me a little nervous about 2020 football season. Thoughts?

Do you think we will play football in 2020?

Hypothetical: Night before Alabama vs LSU after all the traveling has been done, report comes in that 15 Bama players just tested positive. One player had symptoms so they tested the whole team. 14 asymptomatic. Of the 14 asymptomatic cases is the starting QB, starting LT and best LB. The 1 symptomatic player is a walk on practice squad dude who came down with a chest cold and a 102 fever. What do they do about playing the game?
there would be no game IMO

If testing becomes ubiquitous, there will be at least one player, coach, cheerleader, grounds crew member or staff member connected to every cfb team in America who will test positive for C19 between now and the end of the scheduled cfb season.

It will be impossible to play the games.

It'll be impossible to play sports until no one gets the VID?

What does ubiquitous mean? Axing four a friend.

I'm still waiting for one of the optimists to address my hypothetical. Unless there is a plan to practice and play while players/coaches/staff are continuously testing positive, there can be no cfb. Covid isn't magically going away, and our society clearly isn't ready for sports to play through it.

Thankfully reason may magically return however.

Even some hystericals and chicken littles (ok very small number, but progress) recognize how idiotic and embarrassing their irrational and reckless behavior has been.

My guess: within 12-24 months you will see a ton of revisionist history, "well I never said we needed to close down", "what I meant by the death rate was the data at that time".

Shame all of them for the rest of their lives.

Mercilessly.

Hard pass on taking experimental vaccines for a virus that is as deadly as the flu for the vast majority of the population (and far less deadly than the flu for my children).

I'm going to be first in line.

Then again, I eat sushi bought from gas stations.

The tasty kind found right next to rolling hot dog machine.
