Syracuse barely beat UCONN

did you watch any games today? what makes you think we can't beat anyone on any given day?

Of course but we could lose to anyone on any given day as well. And besides, with our defense, I’m not sure the former arguement is correct anymore

if you think this defense actually got good in the 2nd half against a putrid Wake team, and that CIS was wrong, I’m not gonna convince you. Go canes
Well you can close your eyes all you want but this defense 100% played better in the second half. I know your hate is strong but try to be objective.

The key will be to move McCord off his spot. When he has time and can go through his progressions he is a very good college QB. When they roll him out he looks terrible. He won’t beat you with his legs.

The dome is also an incredibly loud place when it gets rocking.

The city of Syracuse has always been a basketball town. Not any more. There are billboards everywhere with Fran Browns face on them. He does a ton of media and appearances. Syracuse is becoming a football town. I can honestly say I’ve never seen them so excited about football.

This is their Super Bowl. We better come correct.

Your point is what? That we are going to beat Syracuse handily? That means absolutely nothing at all. The all season rides on the Syracuse game and if we lose the season must be considered a MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT. We better play much better next week.
You are such a bitter, negative person.

Despite McCord throwing for 470 yds. They couldn’t run the ball at all

Cuse gonna throw for 800 on our Canes.

Clawson kinda did. That’s literally why it was a game midway through the 4th. Not sure what you watched.
No he did not. What game were you watching?

His offense scored 7 points. Outside of their 1st drive the defense did its job and did it extremely well.

Our offense was extremely sluggish until we started gashing them in the 4th.

Cuse barely beat UConn and we barely beat plenty of teams this season including a loss to ga tech. This game is a trap game for Miami. If they don’t play with urgency cause the season is on the line they will lose. 2 games left till the playoffs. SMU is a very much improved team that will not be an easy cake walk either. Canes need long sustaining drives and keep both those offenses off the field. Play these games as if it was the national championship was on the line. Cam Wards calmness has become to infectious on the rest of the team.

lol this board is so dumb. This games going to be very close

like all our other games: start strong, lull second, explode in fourth

our biggest issue is getting ball controlled. GT and Wake (started to do this) tried to do so and nearly succeeded (Powell turned it around with the pick 6 after they were doing what tech did to us).

cuse isnt ball control and dont have the guys to do that esp from the QB position that can hurt us. our front 4 has to get pressure though bc their passing offense is good

Syracuse averaged 5 mins +/- time of possession on scoring drives vs UCONN (not accounting for their first scoring drive under a min.) Total TOP = 37:26

for reference, the GT time of possession vs US was 34:49 (our TOP that game was 25:11)

We aren't UConn obviously, but this is the stat line that makes me wonder if we are run heavy ourselves.

Go Canes.

Like teams try to do to us Miami can play keep away to limit their QB, our running game could win this for us, but we'd still have Cam in our back pocket if needed.

We haven't played #2 and #3 in the conf. in offense (we're #1). #4, Louisville, carved us up. Of conf. opponents, the average opponent offense is ranked 10.4 out of 14 teams in conference play. The schedule's been pretty favorable. Most have exceeded their conf. points per game, with the exception of abysmal FSU (1/2 point under conference average), and Wake. And Wake would take it's 1st half, shortening the game, sans the Mish play/QB mistake, all day.
