Syracuse barely beat UCONN

wtf are you talking about. No one trashed Ward. You're one of the most negative posters on this site
I'm sure the more that gets repeated the better it feels. I'm talking very specifically about you making excuses for Tyler when he was ******* terrible and complaining about Ward every chance you get. I typed exactly what I meant.

I was told by CIS experts that Wake QB would have Heisman numbers today. 🤷‍♂️
This week we heard that Dave Clawson will outscheme Guidry and put up 35, and we also heard that the SEC is on another level and we aren't in the same conversation as Alabama. Then we heard that Deion Sanders is one of the best coaches in the country and we should pray that he doesn't go to Florida State.

To sum it up: Miami fans should stop trying to be analysts.

This is a very misleading thread title. Syracuse dominated the entire game and the win was never in doubt. UConn got a garbage TD at the end which makes the game appear closer than it was.

My concern is Miami is NOT getting better while the rest of the real contenders are. We need to improve to beat Syracuse and beyond.

With respect I'm not sure what "contender" for a national title and the playoff is unequivocally better than the first of the year as of now. What you are seeing IMO is a bunch of flawed teams that lack depth at key positions because of the portal and NIL. 11 of 12 playoff teams could win it all...

I never complained about Ward. I questioned if there was something wrong with him today - that covers alot of issues, including frustration with the play calling. But you do you....

Time for you to get over TVD.... He's been gone for months

Means absolutely nothing. Syracuse's passing game is probably the best we've seen all season and UConn is a decent team this week. We were only beating Wake 20-14 with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter and our offense had only scored 13 points up to that point

Just build off of todays performance and watch some of the PiIt- Syracuse film, Pitt had McCord dazed and confused.

Clawson kinda did. That’s literally why it was a game midway through the 4th. Not sure what you watched.

Maybe the first drive or two, but his overall scheme only netted 1 first down in the entire second half and only 7 points scored by his offense.
if you think this defense actually got good in the 2nd half against a putrid Wake team, and that CIS was wrong, I’m not gonna convince you. Go canes

yep

Oronde Gadsden 65 catches for 810 yds
Jackson Meeks 66 catches for 801 yds
Trebor Pena 73 catches for 743 yds

Pena and Gadsden will be the two to watch out for.

All 3 are in the ACC top 6 in receiving yards.

Ross Simmons has gotten healthy too and has had an explosive catch in both of the last two weeks. Gill is a good deep threat too (had a huge game today). Looked like another of the WRs, Hatcher, knee exploded on the onside kick, but they have 5 guys who are good to very good. Allen is a great pass catcher out of the backfield too.

Think it's a minor miracle that McCord has gone 140+ attempts without an INT the last 3+ weeks. Hopefully we can stop Allen in the run game, pressure McCord with 4, and force some INTs

I also like their back up RB Willis out of newark Nj. I remember he had a nice game against UNLV. Big back, they got some weapons over there

He hasn't really done anything since that game tho. Think he was hurt for a game or two as well. But Allen has been the sum total of their run game during ACC play.

I noticed that too, I was looking at his numbers. Willis snaps have drastically dropped off since the UNLV game.

This game scares me - hoping we’re prepared for this game since I could see Syracuse circling this game.

Scheme is everything. Our defense matches up better scheme wise against Syracuse, than we did in comparison to VT/UL. Kyle will be the best QB we face, but this is the game where running stunts a bunch won't hurt us, but I generally hope we don't have to. Unless they suddenly run a lot more motion and misdirection than their previous games.
