Is that Ron Cherry's bisch ***?

Lol at Ron Cherry.

Meanwhile is Matthew Thomas even going to crack the 2 deep at FSU?
Nice for recruits to see that when Golden tells them they will play as freshmen if they earn the reps, that its not just a recruiting pitch.

I'm sure you think this a good thing but it's not.

Yeah, I do. I like to see recruits realize that Golden means what he says, whereas other coaches just blow smoke and make insincere promises.

I don't think you understand.

Let me guess.
If I think Thomas can't make their 2 deep or start for them, that means their linebackers must be outstanding right?
It also might mean that he is a diva and isn't putting the work in, or that he's not as talented as many people think, or, I think this might be the case, that unless a true freshman completely outperforms veterans, a veteran coach will limit his playing time severely, to allow him to develop.

People forget that coaches, who are generally not stupid football wise, know that no matter how talented the freshman is, he's still just a freshman.
Bear Bryant said something like, as many freshmen you start, you should expect at least that many losses.

So we should have lost about 15 games last year.

So, no camp report until the BBQ ends?

Maybe everyone is waiting until the rib eating contest between Navarro and London is over.
Might last until morning. They both make Sunny look like a lightweight.

Starting, not playing.
Obviously it's not a scientific law but I'm sure you get the gist of the meaning.

I did, was just making a joke, but that's what a lot of people who complained about the defense last year keep forgetting. They played a lot of true freshmen, who were both inexperienced, undersized, and not as strong as they needed to be. It wasn't just that they played a lot of freshmen, but they played them together. When three of the four DB's are true freshmen, along with a LB and some of the DL, something is very wrong. McCord played DE at 215 last year. None of the projected starting LB's this year is under 235lbs.

I thought my point was obvious, but I must have been nebulous.

I believe that when you recruit a top 5 star, most coaches will tell them they are going to play a lot and maybe start as a freshman, when it usually is a lie.

When verbal commit Mike Smith tweets "dats Artie in front of 9" it seems he's pleasantly surprised to see a true freshman getting reps in the 2 deep, and is subconsciously thinking, "these coaches are for real. They mean it when they tell me if I'm good enough I will play as a freshman."

Maybe I'm trying to psychoanalyze a simple tweet, but I can't help but think that seeing Burns, Coley, Figs, Carter, AQM etc., getting meaningful reps will only reinforce the belief that our coaches are genuine, and that Miami is the place for them.

can it just mean that it's Artie, our schoolmate and teammate from last year and maybe have nothing to do with him being a freshman?

Why do you care about what someone else on another team is doing?? Live in the now.

Uh, because I'm a Cane fan, and I'm pretty sure, in fact almost 100% positive, that we play at least 12 other teams this year.
I'd like to know a little about our opponents. I'd actually like to know a lot about our opponents.
As for living in the now, I'm not some myopic 17 year old. I try to go beyond what is right in front of me this very moment. Just something I learned, like most people do, when they turn 3.
You know, "mom, what's for dinner TONIGHT?"
There's obviously progression as you get older, like, "hey babe, what do you think about going to Paris next month for a week?"
Or "we're only thinking about FAU."
Last I checked we aren't playing FAU in "the now"
You can't always live in the "now." You have to plan for the future as well. I might have read that somewhere, or heard it once or twice in conversation.

STACEY COLEY IS WITH THE FIRST TEAM OFFENSE .. THATS BIG!
.

Kind of amazing that they're testing him on that stage so early. Really says a whole lot about Coley's willingness to "grind." Sky's the **** limit. WOO!

That's about as emotional I've seen you get in 5 years about this football team, in a positive way I should say. You OK?

I agree though, its crazy. I have been with ESF from the beginning that Coley is the best WR we have landed since Dre so to see this has got me giddy as well.

Or what is actually happening there is a completely different person(d_curry) is asking Mike(rasta_mike_) if that is in fact Artie in front of Malcom. Check out the question mark. And that's Instagram
