Stevenson Tears.... Of Joy????

I am still holding out hope we can still land tyrique Stevenson. He is stud and would be a major difference maker. If Stefan was still predicting him to Miami, I have to think we still have a good chance to land him. He is usually conservative with his picks.

The dozen or so top draft choices and future HOF’s would make anyone’s defense look otherworldly...Shannon has sucked since all those guys left and he’s had to coach with normal players..
People must forget Romeo Davis and glen cook playing over guys because they knew their assignments, they couldn’t tackle for dog**** but they knew where they were supposed ya be.

I haven't heard a peep about us offering any other DBs. But haven't heard anything about UGA doing so either. Might have something to do with it being the dead period.

That’s a nice way to spin it; however, I firmly believe he hired from w/in b/c it was easier and it was nice comfort level for him. Richt has always preached continuity and hiring a staff he’s comfortable w. That’s a **** poor mentality, imo, and it’s why the culture is stagnant. Everyone knew Diaz was bouncing b/c u could tell there was a little frustration brewing. With two guys who have 0 experience, who’s going to check Richt?
Last swashbuckling DC Rick hired from outside was Pruitt. And Rick needed Thomas Brown to protect him from Pruitt whipping his ***.

Rick is gunshy on hiring anyone he doesn’t know pretty well at this point. He’s shown here he’s only interested in safe hires who won’t challenge him in any way.

Let’s face it we have nothing to look forward to. I have never been this down on the program and I try to be optimistic almost to a fault. Rick isn’t hiring anyone to help on offense and guaranteed we will have another **** show next year probably even worse.

We have a fan base who insists that we bring Shannon and Dorsey back I mean are you kidding me here? Same people applauded when Art Kehoe was rehired for the nth time (I lost count how many times he was fired and rehired) and he of course bombed again.

The athletic department isn’t committed to doing what it takes to build a champion and until they hire the right people it’s a total write off.

The future looks very bleak although that could change with the right leadership. No decision maker in The Gables is a leader or a difference maker this is very apparent.

I'm talking the shannon years as a head coach. But yes we did have better defenses in the championship years of course...Also, I would prob argue with you that outside of the 1-3 year span with the 1st round monsters everywhere Shannon's defenses started to go downhill in the mid-late Coker years...When there were only like 3-5 1st rounders out there instead of 8. Overall I think Shannon was very average, but yeah miscommunication on my part...In our original comparison, I meant him as a HC aka "The Shannon Years"

Shannon rode Schiano defense to his HC position.

Let's not act like Pruitt is a complete f**kboy with a reputation for being a complete deuche bag at every single stop.
