NEVER under-estimate the ability of an NFL GM to make the most foolish move possible.
I had a friend who was a high ranking guy in an NFL organization. The stories he would tell me about how some of their draft picks were chosen was **** near criminal. Corporate board room stuff going on within a coaching meeting. Lots of agendas. Players get "tagged" as being like an existing NFL player and GM's, assistant GM's, etc, will verbally pressure their draft committees to move them up the board, etc...
I have little doubt that Stephen Morris can very well turn out to be the next Akili Smiff.
