With summer film review in full swing, a lot of prominent draftniks are beginning to hype Stephen Morris on Twitter:

Daniel Jeremiah (NFL Network)
Studying Miami QB Stephen Morris…very interesting prospect. Live arm, excellent poise & accurate deep ball thrower.

Josh Norris (Rotoworld and NFL.com)
After going through six senior QBs, I've been most impressed with Miami's Stephen Morris. http://bit.ly/18xJfCW

@illmatic940 Ceiling for Morris? >>> Still early but w/ a strong SR season, it wouldn't surprise me if he gets 1st round grades from some

Throw the change up young Stephen, the sky is the limit.

Morris is the goods. His improvement last season really opened some eyes. With another strong season this year, we can do big things.

Morris's arm stgrenght is going to take him a long way. It will have coaches salivating. You can teach lots of things but arm strentgh isn't one of them. Case in point Jay Cutler and Jeff George, he was recycled time and again cause he could spin it.

Good Stuff

He's got two things that could hold him back.

Anticipation and touch. He has great ball placement most of the time and the right limb attached to his body is a ******* cannon.

He has a big year this year and he'll be in New York next April.

Too bad he got f**ked on his RS season, because he really needed it. Was very raw, so its only natural that it took a minute for him to develop. I think we see a MAJOR stef forward from him too this year considering how much better the Oline and WRs are going to be too.

Exactly. If he can work on the short pass both in touch and leading the receiver, he could be great. It amazed me last year how he could be pin-point accurate on a ball thrown 50 yards in the air, but he'd short-hop a 3-yard out pattern.

I've said that as well, but if he has a big year like we all believe he likely would have left early anyway IMO. Kid has more potential than anyother QB in the next draft class.

He has the potential this year to secure a 1st rd spot, high 1st rd even. This year will make or break that, but he will make some cash in the NFL.

This is particularly impressive when you click the link and see which QBs he has evaluated

That particular scenario has to do with gripping the ball too hard. It cause the ball to stick to your hand which creates a late release hence the hitting of the feet. All things that can be fixed; which is good news for us and Stephen.

I honestly don't think it would have mattered in the long run, because he would most likely entered the draft this year regardless. But at the same time, if we could have 2 more years of Morris it would be our best chance at a title since 03.

Great point.

Morris's biggest strength (huge hands and the ability to "grip it and rip it") can also hurt him at times. This is something that will improve with more reps, IMO.

Yea I remember a few times (RB Screens, Short Crossing Routes) where he just fires it in there instead of easing up and taking something off of the throw.

I've been on the morris bandwagon since golden stepped foot on campus... glad to see him start getting some hype.

He has a high ceiling, dude just needs to work on his touch and he's a first rounder, great mobility and arm strength
