Spring Depth chart

If Porter doesn't burst into flames like a turned over car in a movie by the UF game, I don't hate him and Pierre as a combo. But behind them is nothing.

End is atrocious. We might have to tell the secondary good luck and send backers A LOT or we're going to go back to every QB lighting us up for 400 yards a game.
,
Bond will be here in the summer and EJ, Terry will be back and push McCord back to DE in the summer we will be fine..

Along with AQM and Hoilett, gotta think it is gonna look drastically better in the fall.

We are a 3-4 defense waiting to happen with EJ, Bond, Perryman, McCord, Kirby, AQM, Chick, Porter, Pierre.
Get your best 7 and tell them to attack.

Funny how this has evolved into an offensive team with supposedly defensive head coach.

Lol to everyone who thinks this D will have enough depth to run the schedule. Still aother recruiting class away on D....at minimum.

Hope McCord to LB isn't permanent. There's been plenty of 240 De's to wreak havoc recently. It could just be numbers related with Armbrister, Terry and Johnson out for spring as of now.

I'm thinking that the coachs believe some of the above will not be here in the fall!

Not sure how anyone can like the McCord move. Our complete lack of pressure from the front four ruined us last season, moving our lead pass rusher to linebacker doesn't help. I hope it's a move because of numbers in spring or possibly giving McCord more looks at linebacker for 3-4 sets.

I think the McCord move on the depth chart is just that...on the depth chart. I'd imagine he'll be rushing from the SLB spot on 1st and 2nd downs and from the DE spot on 3rd downs. Similar to how we used Spencer Adkins his senior year.

Yes because giving McCord the ability to line up NEXT to, as opposed to in place of, Chick or Green is just a terrible, terrible idea.

Depth isn't an issue.

DT: Porter, Pierre, King, Moore, Robinson, Ivery
DE: Chick, Green, Dye, Hamilton, Grimble, Hoilett, AQM, Kamalu.
LB: DP, Kirby, EJ, Terry, Cornelius, Armbrister, Figueroa, Gaines, Blue, Grace and 007.

That's a lot of talent and from that talent we need to find 6-8 linemen and 6-8 linebackers.

Golden has made it pretty clear that he wants to put pressure on the qb's this year.
For 2 years we've made every qb we faced look like Ty Detmer, and it's time to start bodyslamming them.
We are going to pressure qb's this year and whether we do it with the front 4 or we have to rush 5, 6, or 7 who cares?
Personally I don't mind if we give up a big play once in a while by doing an all out blitz.
I'm just tired of qb's dropping back, stretching for 10 seconds then completing pass after pass.
No matter how good our db's are they can't cover all day long.

Blitz everybody, everytime if necessary.
Sure can't get worse than it's been.

So much for all the gurus who had Sonny The Rat Whisperer as a 2 or 3 year project. Dude's already moved up the depth chart to 2nd team.

On third down send at least 5 every time if we want to get off the field.

Not worried about the McCord move yet. Maybe they just want to get a look at how he plays in space. Bottom line is he'll be an edge rusher.

I dont want to get too worked up over Spring depth charts but say this..

1) This is the best Spring depth chart we have seen around here in YEARS! Every year our spring chart looks like something you would see from FAMU or Bethune! A bunch of walk ons in the two deep and guys u never heard of. For once there will be some REAL competition in the SPRING and not when the "calvary gets here" in the Fall. I was so **** tired of hearing that. Smh.

2) Highsmith outworking Bush is NEVER a good thing. I dont care what the circumstances are and who Highsmith is. Bush needs to take a note from Jenkins and take his rightful place on the throne and quit playing around.

3) SMH at DE. Lets hope Bond and AQM are as good as advertised. And Hoilett/Terry get it together. If we march Shayon Green out there against FLA on Sept 7th I will be SMH. (And I love Shayon but McCord or ANYBODY needs to take that spot.)

4) I dont know about u guys but I am excited to see a starting lineup of Perryman-Kirby-Figuroa. ***** EJ if you ask me. Dude is starting to become a bigger legend then his game. Hes our best LB but i am ready to see what someone else can do. Our defense's success cant depend solely on if one guy decides he wants to wake up one morning and actually..you know..not be a sociopath!

Bring on the Spring!

I can't believe anyone is concerned about a Spring Football depth chart.
