I like this young man. Size, quickness, and most important - attitude.

The coaching staff has done pretty well - a **** of a lot better than some of the recruiting experts I've seen here.

Of those who don't like this pick up, how many times have you spoken to Sunny? How many times have you talked to him and looked him in the eye? Speak to his coaches at length?

1. It's Sonny not Sunny
2. Why do some of you say Sonny is a project? Do you think Golden has the luxury of taking projects.
3. Some of you need to stop getting your hopes up with #6 committing early. He will take his trips.
4. Kirkland same as 3.
5. Grace same as 4.

Yes. One or two if he's got conviction.

If he's got conviction, it's not really a project.

I'm skeptical on this kid, in this class.

Tell me whose spot he takes.

Project = developmental...and because you have a conviction doesn't mean a player is further along the learning curve because of it...

I'd give you examples of any pro sports franchise taking not-yet-developed players over ready-made players until I'm blue in the face and having results in both directions...but its unnecessary. Recruiting, like drafting, is about what you WILL BECOME, not about what you ARE.

As for this kid/this class...I won't be his Captain Save-A-Hoe...but, he's the only tackle in this class...you, of all people, have trumpeted taking 3-4 OL in every class...he makes #4. He is a prep player our OL obvious loves...he's being recruited by pretty good schools...

Whose spot does he take? No ones?

This guy is an All-Kehoe special...lets hope he can develop him. I can see the hesitation, but, it is, what it is.

****....looks like he went through some tough times at Hargraves. Hopefully he has alot of pent up anger and frustration that needs to be released on DEs and LBs.

Kehoe project. This is why he lost his job the first time. When is he gonna get it?

Negged.

He lost his job the first time because clappy needed a scape goat. And btw, Mt. McKinney and Micheal Oher were both Kehoe projects.

Partly true but let's not forget for every McKinnie and oher that he brought in, he brought in many many other undersized projects that never panned out.

Yep yep. I'm skeptical as well. In a small class, taking a tackle like this is questionable - call him a project or not - be real, I think he took someone else's spot. I like te kid in general but in a small class?

How many OL are in the League right now who were coached by Kehoe? I'll hang up and listen.

No room in this class to be taking projects like the Sunny.

The overwhelming majority of HS OL are projects. Almost none step in and start as freshmans. They all need work, and Sunny's no different. Only difference is Sunny's gigantic, very intelligent, hungry enough to eat rats, and athletic enough to be brought to the USA on a basketball scholarship. I'll gladly take this big man. Great prospect.

Do you really think Kehoe has final say on who we offer/take with Golden as HC?

Not even close. The days of Kehoe having any sort of autonomy here are long gone.

He jumped the shark with that kid from Canada, Jonathan St Pierre, I think was his name. Now we have a real system of checks-and-balances in place( at least, thats what it seems like) and a real CEO who can keep Kehoe in line

Could not say it better...

And you, have you spoken to him and looked him in the eye and spoken to his coaches at length? Or do those things only matter if someone expresses concern, and not when they grab the pom poms?
