Don't think that's really feasible. He was hired on December 6th. it's January 19th. I suppose anything is possible, but I'd find it pretty surprising to learn that he's offered the job to 1 guy in 6 weeks. And that guy was Candle, yesterday.

He had that offer for a minute now, but point taken. We just simply have to move on to next guy, whoever that is. I’d be surprised if there is more interviewing etc to be done but that’s JMO.

I can't disagree with that...I think he has talked to others and has been told "I'm not interested" before he officially offered them and I also think he has talked to others and hasn't offered them the job yet even though they were interested.
So far we know about one actual offer if we believe our "insiders" and I do.

I have to believe he has talked to others. I do believe our insiders when they say this was the first actual offer.

Yeah, so I think we gotta call a spade a spade at this point. He’s struck out probably more than a couple times. NOW, does that really matter? If we hire Joe Blow today or tomorrow or whenever, and we score a lot of points and win a lot of games, nobody will remember what happened in January 2022. That is what’s important. Hiring someone (anyone?) and winning. But, at this very second, I think you have to call it as it is and be confident in saying he’s not getting the top few guys on his list.

I remember when our dc search was being called complete mess and a cluster Fck by dudes on social media as well as the news reporters.
 
When you start getting these leaks after a dry period and then this person is staying at current job news starts coming out that means it's likely done or near done I think.
