The staffs being hired at UF and UM are about to make FSU staff look silly.

Kamari Rodgers and his dad were on a youtube show tonight and basically stated that T-Rob is staying on staff(which i'm a huge fan of) and that they hope DVD is able to stay on staff.
dad was dropping jewels and didn't even know it.

That’s good. I know Mario and t-rob had a lil situation at one point but that was a minute ago and I’m sure mario knows the guy is one of the best at his job

I would like to see more game planners and Air Raid disciples. The last thing I want is a smash mouth spread offense that runs the ball 40 times a game.

For me, I like a mixture of recruiters and teachers at this level. I want teachers at OL, DL, WR, CB.

Recruiters elsewhere is fine. It looks like a great staff overall, but if money is not an obstacle, I wish we’d go hire some legit coaches from big time programs.

Not getting Corey Raymond sucks, losing him to Florida, hurts.
Cribby didn’t mention him but according to 247 their is mutual interest with Kendal briles too. But mario said he wanted to be multiple on both sides of the ball so I doubt you see a bunch of air raid disciples.

I think you just answered your own question.

Brady isn't air raid, but he's pass first, open up the run after. Same with Briles - both of which are, at worst, in heavy contention to be OC. That in itself shows Mario is willing to adapt to his personnel and take his offensive approach to the modern era.

That's the way I think of it, at least.
i don’t understand why nobody seems to be mentioning it, but if you need ironclad proof that mario is willing to run a spread offense, look no further than the offensive coordinator he hired at FIU, who we all are quite familiar with: scott satterfield. not exactly a 3-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust type of dude.

Bama just averaged 4+ YPC against UGA with their 4th string back and their starter basically running on one leg. Their QB had a phenomenal game through the air, but they ran the pill when they needed to. Their backs are decimated with injuries so their run game has been not what we are use to seeing, but they still are a physical team and can enforce their will when they need to. JMO
To add on to this, Majority of people going into the game thought bama oline wouldn’t be able to handle uga dline, thought they would make Bryce uncomfortable but the exact opposite happened and bama oline made uga dline look pedestrian.

Games are won in the trenches in football, it’ll never change.

Jay gets a lot of info from coaching circles and he's as legit as anyone out there. Anyone!! He knows that Mcclendon is linked to some coordinator jobs and even HC at Oregon. Obviously if Chip says no. The players are pushing for him. So it's possible he could bounce, doubtful but possible.

I just know multiple people who say he's been on campus and one saying he's 100% hired. Even yesterday I was on the same page as Jay until I did some digging after the caneville tweet was posted here. I don't go along with stuff just because it's been reported elsewhere. I mean I disagreed with all the Nunez reports and said it was bs. It was bad info from his side. So yeah I say McClendon is done and Felds is likely next to be done.

Not to contradict, but just a clarification, a lot of times an "assistant" will have an "out" in his contract for a HC job offer, so is that what might cause us to go from "done deal" with McClendon to "not so fast, my friend"? Or is it an unsigned contract, pending what he hears on the HC possibility?

Wanted to let you guys know something we heard from two independent sources tonight -- that Jim Mastro, the RBs coach/RG coordinator at Oregon under Cristobal, might very well be joining him in Miami. It’s not a done deal according to them but it's close, and if it comes to pass, you guys will be getting a great recruiter and one helluva coach. We covered Mastro when he was at Washington State for six seasons (2012-17). His running backs would have run through a wall for him at WSU. I’ll link one of the stories we did below regarding his recruiting under Mike Leach. Don't think it's in the story below but Mastro was also the co-creator of the Pistol with Chris Ault at Nevada.

A lot of coaches have one or the other -- great recruiter or teacher/tactician supreme, but Mastro’s one of those guys who is the full package. He’d be switching coasts if he comes to Miami, true, but his recruiting rolodex is impressive. And also don’t think it would take him long to start winning battles and unearthing hidden gems regardless of which recruiting territory Cristobal plugged him into. And if we hear anything further, will let you know but thought you guys might want to know what we’re hearing tonight.

if Wilson gets the Nevada job does he bring Mastro with him? should be interesting

Kendal Briles did well this season with Arkansas. Arkansas and Miami have in common an OL specialist for HC, too, something to think about there.

Here's the point in the interview where Khamauri Rogers dad said TRob is coming back. Sebastian Lane show tonight had a couple of unintentional breaking news moments tonight
