A Washington St fan posted on our 247 site that he heard Mastro is in discussions with UM. Guy seemed to think Mastro is a home run as a recruiter and RB coach/run game coordinator. He did express some reservation that Mastro does recruit the **** out of the West Coast, and not sure about his contacts here in on the east coast.

I wonder if the idea was to pair him w Brady, and let him help Brady w the run game. Idk
 
Looks like Bmac helped develop Deebo at South Carolina. I know Deebo is a pretty sick athlete but always good to see the development of someone like that. Deebo was nasty at South Carolina.

Briles is still in play for sure. Not sure what’s going on with Brady but if talks are stalled, i promise you Mario is talking to others. But, if KD said no, and Brady pulls out, oh boy.

Not surprised by this to be honest. It always felt a little too white hot so soon after Mario was hired.

Apparently (according to Flo’s podcast), Brady is asking for a lot…not just money, but a lot of power/control of offense and other things he didn’t really specify. Not sure if that could be part of the slow down.

You don’t think the waiting will hurt recruiting?

I guess I expected quick moves on staff due to early signing day being so close.

Kansas went through a phase where they recruited LA extremely well. I forget the recruiter but he had heavy ties there. He came to his senses when he started to blow up more too.

I believe there was a decent 4* start qb out of New Orleans a few years ago that was committed there too, but he came to his senses as well. I think we tried to go after him late.

Nah he helped set us up at the beginning of the year and we crapped the bed telling these kids we were going to compete against Bama and win 10 games.

Tony hull was getting all that New Orleans talent to Kansas but he left and coaching at Hawaii

Yeah .. but never had total control of an offense. My choice would be Brady ... off of his dramatic impact on the LSU offense ... the change in production form 2018 to 2019 is crazy. Same QB and same primary 3 receivers, going from 17 passing TD's to 61 passing TD's .. is nuts. Imagine what he could do with TVD in the ACC.

There’s plenty of coaches in the nfl and college that go from qb coach to calling the plays. You have to start somewhere and he pretty much ran the show as a player. I think he can handle it. I’m ok with Brady , Briles or Ken.
