Just being honest, Gators are making some nice hires... Wouldn't mind Raymond, Tosh, Spider, etc on this staff. But we'll see. More portabtly I think we will have FAR SUPERIOR Coordinators.

FSU looking like even bigger bums than before now though.
FSU is going to be ok. They are potentially getting Manny Diaz

Exactly my point. You can pass 60-70 % of the time and still play physical. When it gets down to nut cutting time the most physical team will win out. Just look at OU, every time they run up against a physical team they get punched in the mouth. That's why ISU gives them fits while having far less talent. Baylor now. There's a reason why Riley didn't want that Sec smoke.

Football will always be about whipping the man in front of you , practicing against an air raid off offense doesn't help the d either. Every day you practice against this finesse stuff so how can you get more physical? Or improve even improve physicality?

At the schools that play physical its embedded in them, it's part of the dna and culture.

When I think about physical football today in CFB I think of Bama, UGA,Osu, Cincy, Michigan, Clemson and even ND. I'd even throw MSU in there.

I'm actually cool with the air raid but I'd prefer something a tad more balanced at Miami. Air raid doesn't mean all spreads are the same, spread doesn't automatically mean finnesse.
Totally agree!

This has been my main hesitance with us ever going with the Pirate (although, he's better than literally every coach we've had since Butch). I believe in order to play and sustain success in Big Boy Football, you have to have a run game and where Bama is weak in the O, is letting the air out of the ball in a close game, because they don't have the playbook to do that anymore.

I'd like to have a wide open unpredictable attack, while still spending enough time in practice one some pounding the rock inside the 5 yard line to the goal line. I'd like for our QB to comfortably get behind center and either push forward for TD or 1st down, OR do a classic off tackle run, OR PA to the TE, etc. I would like to have that in the playbook to put a game away, or to get that 1st down.

Is there a reason our hires are not being made public? Obviously they announced justice going to smu, Florida seems to be letting it be public knowledge who they are taking? Just curious.

The U us trying to get better at keeping secrets. Or, no BOT wars over who the OC is, who the DC is, or who holds Mario’s headset.

One been mentioned ad nauseum on here. I've seen another on here too so it won't be out of left field or anything

Don't want to mention the 3rd because I have not seen his name on here relative to this staff - it has in the past - don't think it happens either.

Not sure if the 4th was legit or not.. yet. If this drags out a little while I might start thinking it could be true. Games still to be played.
Could the 3rd name be a 4 letter last name that only uses 2 letters?

I would like to see more game planners and Air Raid disciples. The last thing I want is a smash mouth spread offense that runs the ball 40 times a game.

For me, I like a mixture of recruiters and teachers at this level. I want teachers at OL, DL, WR, CB.

Recruiters elsewhere is fine. It looks like a great staff overall, but if money is not an obstacle, I wish we’d go hire some legit coaches from big time programs.

Not getting Corey Raymond sucks, losing him to Florida, hurts.

Alabama is in the playoffs and can’t run on anybody.

Cinn just for their running game pushed in by Houston on Saturday.
They might not be as physical as they used to be..they still are one of the top two or three most physical teams…
