Cribby, who is the OC?
Hey remember these posts under your other screen name?

Good chance they come back like Benny Blanco from the Bronx.

Still don’t think it’s Briles? I know the Arkansas board was dismissing us as a step down. As I asked you previously… were you ( @TheU21 )one of the ones dismissing us???

The QB coach is the one working with him the rest of the week to fix mechanics and read defenses so that Joe Brady can talk to him for 3 hours on Saturday to get input on what the defense is running.

Apparently you don't know. Got my answer.

You're absolutely certain the guy who installed the offense and was in constant contact with him during games wasn't also working with him during the week alongside Esminger? Miami can't have Brady work with the QB during the week and have support staff assist with mechanics? The hoards of OCs that double as QB coaches are all mechanical experts?

I don't know. You tell me, since you're the one making the point that it sounds like he was the QB coach based on some conversation happening during the game.

I'm not playing your specious game.

Still don't think it's Briles and no, I was not the one to bash you guys.
And how the heck did you guys find out about me being an Arkansas fan?

You know what a Brady passing offense might look like on third down and in the red zone from a college standpoint. That's it. You also saw the full Brady offense in Carolina that must have gotten you all hot and bothered to have your questions answered, I suppose.

You guys think calling plays is like the main thing to help an offense be successful and it's pretty hilarious. I rUn FiVe WiDe LoOk aT tHe PoInTs!

You realize you'd have likely the best QB developer in all of college football sitting on your staff? And that the only way he's on your staff is because he played here and no other team would likely be able to land him? And what makes you hesitant is Xs and Os for 3 hours on Saturdays? Really?

Man, that's unbelievably short-sighted.
yeah bc development is the only responsibility of an oc. calling plays is irrelevant.

the reason why you can’t answer is because dorsey has more questions around him than brady does.

This keeps getting thrown around. It sounded a lot like he was a QB coach at LSU.

Q. What's happening on the headsets when you guys are in between series?
STEVE ENSMINGER: As I say, Coach Brady is on his set with Joe Burrow. They're discussing what they saw. Coach Craig is on the offensive line. We're asking, Hey, what did Lloyd see. Lloyd Cushenberry is my MVP, I'm going to tell you. He makes probably 99% of the calls, and Joe has his chance to check it. As far as being around those guys and everything else, they're very seldom wrong.

Q. Is it enjoyable working with a guy like Joe Brady who is able to be a right-hand man during the game?
STEVE ENSMINGER: It is. Like I said, Joe Brady talks to Joe Burrow as much as I do. Putting in this passing system and everything else, like I said, when Joe comes off the field, he's on the phone with Brady because I'm preparing for the next series. They're going through the last series.
Just to clarify … The guy answering the questions (Steve Ensminger) was the OC and QB coach at LSU.

Brady was his passing game coordinator. He brought the Saints concepts and plays to LSU.

From Gaby -

There is still little clarity on who Mario Cristobal will tap to run Miami's defense nearly four weeks since the Hurricanes hired the head coach.

Some of the names floated around have been Georgia co-defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann and Auburn defensive coordinator Derek Mason.

Sources told InsideTheU that a couple of other names to monitor as potential defensive play-callers include Seattle Seahawks associate head coach and defensive line coach Clint Hurtt and Houston defensive coordinator Doug Belk.

LOL at this being an 'update'. These were the names that were tossed out weeks ago.
LMAO at "updates"

It's a serious game we're playing here.

I'm gonna make this simple for you because you're having a hard time.

I will take the elite QB coach that is maybe average at calling plays over the WR (???) coach who called only third down and red zone plays for one year in college and then lead a bad Carolina offense for not even two years in the NFL.

He was just an offensive analyst for Lincoln Riley on OK. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Sumlin was burned out at the end of his Arizona tenure. So much so that he barely recruited.

Does he really want to get back into coaching full time or stay an Analyst and keep collecting his buyout money?

What kind of stupid *** post is this? So you want a completely inexperienced QB coach to learn on the job and be in charge of developing our QBs?
Depends on his liniage. Worked with QBs at Penn State under Moorhead? Schooled by Sean Payton? Passing Coordinator of one the most prolific passing attacks in college football history? NFL Coordinator?

Do I think he can handle coaching college quarterbacks?

Because when you have the highest allotment of $ for Assistant coaches in the ACC, you use it to hire the same caliber of coaches Miami has been hiring for the past 15 years.

The more of these updates I see the more I think nothing of actual value is being leaked out.

Pushing aside the unprovable. The whole best developer of QBs stuff. Dorsey isn’t a long term option. Much like Brady he could very well spend a year on staff and leave if the NFL came calling. So yes for a guy who is gonna spend at maximum two years at Miami as an OC he better hit the ground running calling plays and scoring points. That is most important. We’re not gonna be talking about a long line of Miami QBs developed by Dorsey.

Hiring Hurtt makes absolutely ZERO sense (assuming Salea'va is coming) on a few fronts and I'm not sure why his name keeps getting tossed out. First, he would be a first time defensive play-caller and I highly doubt Mario wants to go that route - even Schumann has been in a Co-DC capacity.

Second, Salea'va coaching DL makes Hurtt redundant. Now, if Salea'va isn't coming anymore and he is looking at Hurtt as a co-DC/DL to partner with a primary playcaller, then it makes more sense, but I'm not sure why he'd leave an NFL job for that type of arrangement.

Belk overlapped with Mario at Alabama and Abdul-Rahim at Alabama, but he's a DB coach as well, so in that scenario, one of Abdul-Rahim or T-Rob would be out and we'd need to bring in a dedicated LB coach.
