I’m not, I actually don’t care who the DC is, as long as it’s not Muschamp (lol) or DeRutyer (which its not thank God).

To me, any DC not named Manuela Diaz will be an upgrade.

The OC hire is way more important IMO.

Dominant Defenses don’t exist anymore, even the Elite UGA Defense that everybody drooled over all year got yanked all over the field by Bill O’Brien & Bama’s Offense for 536 yards & that wasn’t even peak Bama offense.

Even Michigans stout Defense got ran over by Mich St & gave up 431 yards vs a bum *** Nebraska team.

Absolutely agree that OC is a **** of a lot more important than DC in this day and age.

But I also absolutely disagree with you on Muschamp. I'd take him in a heartbeat with absolutely zero hesitation.

IMO Muschamp is severely overrated, his Defenses haven’t been good since the Auburn Tuberville days.

He’s a beloved figure by fans in college football because he’s a loud overly demonstrative rah rah guy & a known name, so he always gets thrown about, but if you take a deep dive into his defenses at South Carolina they were ******.

He’s a SEC good ol boy that gets way more credit than he deserves. JMO though.

I wouldn’t give AF if we hired him because I believe DC’s are mostly inconsequential when you play in a conference like the ACC, they matter more in conferences like the SEC & the B1G because they don’t play any prolific offenses except once maybe twice a year, so every other game is a lot more easily manageable, but I wouldn’t make a big fuss if he was the DC, but I couldn’t pretend like he’s as good as everybody else thinks he is either.

I don’t think he’d come here anyway tbh, he’s from Georgia & played there & has always wanted to coach there, so he’s right at home on Kirby Dumbass’s staff.

We thought whoever was behind Richt was an upgrade at OC, but by gawd were we ever wrong lol

Yeah, I disagree on many of those points...but I do agree he'll likely stay at Georgia with a permanent promotion on the near horizon.

What stats do you rely on when looking into a coach?

Mannys issue was he couldn’t recruit , his scheme had too many flaws and it was getting exposed more and more every year.

The year Gerald Willis showed out was a really good defense. That d started most drives at mid field or closer because of a god awful offense and a terrible punter ( feagles). We wasted arguably his best defense because the o was trash. They finally started breaking by the end of the year but it’s amazing how many snaps they played with the amount of horrible starting field position.
Other than that 😭😭😭😭😭

There was multiple guys playing other positions on the roster that kicked in Hs. I’d be willing to beg there was another handful of guys that were better than her that dabbled in kicking. **** my HS team had multiple guys that could hit extra points and 40 yard fg’s that didn’t want to kick.

That was 100 percent a publicity to make a certain group happy. Nothing more. To their credit it worked.

In the early 70’s my dad who was a kicking coach taught a young lady by the name of Theresa Dion how to kick and she was the kicker for my stepdads HS team which was a small catholic school ( Mary Immaculate HS) but I believe she was the first female to suit up and kick in a HS game in Fla.I actually dated her for a while and she was the homecoming Queen her Sr year.

Can’t remember how good she was as a kicker but she was VERY good at other things. If I knew how to post the article about her I would but you can google her.

Not sure if she was the first female to kick in a game nationally but she had to have been one of the first to do it.

Well that was more of a byproduct of Manny’s ineptitude & us being married to Pro style bro.

If we would’ve went to a Spread coordinator in 2019, things wouldn’t have been as bad, it was just a really poor decision because Manny Diaz is a ****** idiot lol.

Statistics only tell half the story, I look at actual games mostly.

There are things that can’t be measured by stats, like football wherewithal & knowing when to do something & not.

Most of that in terms of play calling is really based on instinct.
Like allowing your rival to score a td so you can get the ball back and march down the field for a game winning scoring drive??:(:unsure:
