People forget Fromm is only starting because Eason was injured.

UGA got behind in the first half of the OU game because they opened the game throwing the ball. Some of that was trying to keep up with Mayfield, yes. It was defense second half adjustments and the Chubb/Michel combination that brought UGA back. Not a passing clinic by Fromm.

Can you imagine if Sitk had a just good enough season? I fear he'd still be our lone QB commit. I know it's kind of silly to play that hypothetical game but Richt's evaluation of QBs is puzzling.

How is it puzzling? Kids flashed a little talent. Richt wasn’t the only coach/scout who thought the kid might be good. As soon as it became edvident that the kid isn’t good he was dropped like a bad habit. That might be even more impressive for a coach to admit he was wrong in his assessment go in a different direction.

Yep. Hard to imagine that if Fromm showed them this kind of interest that Richt would not try to recruit him. Maybe Richt evaluated wrong but it doesn't sound like a lack of confidence. Sounds like dad is a bit miffed and is taking it personal.

Honestly what’s Fromm done to prove he’s this amazing QB? hes great at handing the ball off if that’s what their getting at.

Anyone that complains about a QB evaluation when the qb has prototypical size/strength/athleticism/arm strength/etc is trippin. This **** happens in the NFL on a yearly basis, otherwise guys like Jamarcus Russell, Hackenberg, etc wouldn't get drafted within the top 4 rounds. QB evaluations are the hardest position to evaluate and it isn't close.

So people that act like Richts early evaluation of Sitkowki was horrible, are honestly crazy. Because dude has the talent to be a great QB, and clearly Richt was hoping/expecting him to improve at IMG for his senior season. That didn't happen so we cut bait, and got someone better. I don't see any problem with what happened this yr with QB Recruiting.

It was in 247. We weren't even recruiting him as a team of interest. I also understand that Richt didn't recruit him at UGA either though I get that Fields hadn't blown up yet.

I thought his younger brother was suppose to be the starting QB this season?

Are you saying they transferred out of that school? And what happened to the HC featured with Fromm in the series?

His dad is an ***. Worse than lavar ball. Yes he is ****ed richt recruited hockman over his son. Now he walks around with a chip on his shoulder like I told yall ****ers. His son would have rode the bench for at least 3 yrs at bama. Gis son walked into a perfect situation and got lucky. His son has 2 tbs who are doing all the work. Shows how low class his dad his to ahow his bitterness.

I will see his dad at the cfp game Monday. Trust me, I will be a smart *** to him. This article and gis statements have already ****ed off lot of boosters

This! I know his dad and the above statement is true. He used to try to force his way into coaches meetings on Sundays to “help” with game planning. He’s just salty as ****. He moved his other sons to a school across town cause the new coach at the old high school wasn’t going along with that arrangement. Then this prick went and recruited like 4-5 other kids from the old school to join his sons. Basically destroying the old teams season.

It worked well for us regardless being able to land Jarren Williams one of the top qbs. I’m glade we waited that late as the stars aligned perfectly with both situations

Talented kid, never heard of him though before that Orlando the opening performance. Regardless we will be more than fine with Jarren Williams as our Qb

He's about as good as you could have hoped for after completely misevaluating this recruiting cycle at QB. Art Sitkowski was Richt's guy the whole way until he wasn't. When you're trying to cherry pick from whats left in the crate late in the process, Williams is fine, I suppose. I'm not sure here makes an impact here, but I guess we'll see.

Yes. They (twins) transferred out of the school that Jake starred at (Houston County High). They're now playing at (cross town rival) Warner Robins High School. One of the twins is the starting QB, and the other one is a WR. I think the head coach in the F1 show, hauled *** after Jake's last year. Their current head coach was the DC when the show aired. Anyways, he let it be known that their father didn't have carte blanch around the facilities, the offense, and meetings, like before. Well, apparently that didn't sit well with pops. He took his kids and transferred to another school. Not only did he take his kids (which is well within his rights to do so), but he personally recruited 4-5 of the better returning players from the old school, as a "***** you!" to the new Head Coach, on his way out of the door.

The eval WAS a bad eval. Fortunately Richt himself came to the same conclusion, albeit relatively late in the cycle. Also fortunately, Williams was available amd wanted in.

The idiotic view is that Sit was not a bad eval just because some other tall kid succeeded some other time. There’s literally zero logic in that statement.

Lol at defending the eval on sit. The initial one was fine - the issue was the continued commitment to the kid after having horrible numbers on the field and even talking **** about our team. Besides, I’d argue that even the initial eval was suspect given that poor HS stats almost NEVER translates to success in college. That should have been a warning sign from sit’s junior year but the Richts thought they were smarter than everyone else about it. We are lucky to have Williams imo.

Sometimes they tend to think that they alone can unlock the potential of a certain kid. That they, in this case, can be the QB whisperer. No matter what the HS coaching staff says, by benching him. No matter that his stats said, that he’s awful. Good for us they re-evaluated their evaluation and got this thing right. All the measurables in the world don’t mean ****, if u can’t play.

Fromm is not very athletic but throws short and mid passes accurately and makes smart decisions. Richt likes guys who can sling it and do all of the above. He wants them to play their junior-senior year because they are usually projects and fromm is the opposite
