Some Interesting info on Jake Fromm's recruit or lack of

Richt isn't perfect, far from it, but I don't buy that BS about not wanting to sign another 5* QB

I would be more concerned with this insight from the elder Fromm is Sitkowski was still our QB for this class. Thankfully, he's not.

Obviously this is one recruit. There are 50-60 parents of GA players on that team that have a different story about Richt and why he recruited their son. Richt has never had a recruiting issue. He’s had an underachieving problem with the talent he accumulated at GA. Nick has overlooked a few 5 stars too.

when you're rushing for 300 yards its not too hard top throw a 10 yard out 12 times a game.. put fromm behind Miamis oline and running game and the guy will be a int machine

A lot of people are forgetting Eason won the job, started the first game, got hurt, and Froom took advantage of the opportunity...I bet if Eason doesn’t get hurt on that first then Fromm doesn’t play.

Lol...all the 5 star talent Richt stacked but he scared to go after Frohm? Yeah right. Just because Rivals viewed him as a better prospect, doesnt mean the coaches did. Sound like somebody's feelings hurt...ijs

I'd still like to know why Richt had no interest in Justin Fields. Thatvones a mystery to me.

mind-boggling really.

Richt focused on Sitkowski. We were just very fortunate that by the time the staff accepted that he was a mistake, Williams was still available.

Can you imagine if Sitk had a just good enough season? I fear he'd still be our lone QB commit. I know it's kind of silly to play that hypothetical game but Richt's evaluation of QBs is puzzling.

Fromm is good but come on man people are acting like Richt passed on a Michael Vick or Cam Newton type game changer. Besides Alabama offer him a month or so before Richt can let go, so it’s not like the kid got offered by Bama 3 years prior

using Cam newton is a bad example. Richt and company wanted him to play Tight End

So did urban Meyer who signed him & physically switched him to the position. I understand cam is a **** good qb but let's not act like it's crazy to think he could ALSO be an amazing tight end(especially if you've got your qb set for the moment)

He was so scared to stack talent that he had Gurley, and went and got Chubb, and had Chubb, and went and got Sony. He was scared to stack 5* talent on top of each other though? Who writes this dumb schit?

It's ultimately not cmr who's running the qb room. This is my one criticism considering his experience and track record. He's letting jon handle all evaluations and recruitments. There's no way of knowing exactly how much he interacts with him on what matters. However knowing him id imagine it's exactly what I've seen & that's he only gets involved in a support function. Good probability it was three same way at uga although that's simply a guess. Personally I'm baffled by the people who think fromm as a qb prospect is superior to Eason. I dont think its even close.

Lets see how Fromm does without Chubb and Michel next year.

Seriously lol 23watcher only posts anti Miami stuff

Lol Richt had top 5-8 classes his last 3 years there and people complaining about his recruiting ability.

Richt had Hockman in the fold who was a good and on par with Fromm. Eason would have started and Hockman would have red shirted. When richt was fired, Hockmanleft. Hockman would have had the same success as Fromm if hockman was in fromms situation. UGA is not doing anything to put the team on his shoulders. Take away Chubb and Sony and it’s on Fromm. It would be a different story

Last year Kirby and Cheney ****ed Sony and nick. Their draft stock dropped. They had no choice but to come back which is a great example for norton and McIntosh here. UGA finally got the online fixed which opened up holes like the parting of the Red Sea. My grandmother could have run thru the openings. And in the rose bowl it doesn’t hurt that they played a big12 team with ****** defenses.

I think Bama crushes their offense

Matthew Stafford...he had other great QBs like Murray, Shockley and Greene but in response to his ability to evaluate QB's, just say Stafford and keep it moving. Prior to this season, many thought Sits had the potential to be pretty good, not just Richt. IMG dont just start anybody at QB. He proved many wrong and Richt ended up replacing him with one of the best QBs in the nation.

Richts offenses were putting up 40 plus points a game with Bobo as the OC. When bobo left is when it feel apart when richt was forced to hire shottenheimer (spelling) and the qbs recruited failed to live up to their potential. Brice Ramsey and Jacob Park, 4 star recruits failed to produce. They couldn’t handle the load when it was on their shoulders. Meaning, when Hurley got hurt, the qb play did not pick up the slack. Same thing happened richts last year when Chubb got hurt. If those 2 rbs were healthy, it would have been a different story.

He ******* throws like a Tight End.

Lmao.....He didn't start until his Junior year and Richt was on his way out. Clearly that was a bias article, but I digress. Not trying to be super fan with Richt, but come on dude!

There really isn't any way to spin Richt's recent QB recruiting.

At Georgia he let a generational talent like Watson get away no contest during a period where he needed a back up transfer from Virginia to start games for him.

Here, he inherited Perry and "his guy" in this class was a miss that most on here were calling from the jump.
