I agree, but for WR in particular the best options were already taken, I doubt we see the same caliber of WR that there was in Jan-Feb that will be available after Spring in April-June etc..

At other positions like LB, DL & OL I think there will, mainly because a lot of those types will be graduating come Spring & will be looking at options where they can start & increase their draft profile, or get some good NIL money to close out their college career.

But I think they were good with just Ladson because they didn’t really see the need to front-load the WR room with a starter but rather just adding a local Miami kid who could be solid depth. I don’t think they were necessarily looking for top tier Portal WR.

If Kam Kinchens blew out an ACL or Avantae Williams transferred, you'd still see the same Dope Squad screaming about the inevitability of moving James Williams to linebacker.

To be fair I don’t ever include those types of people in my comments because they’re just not relevant

I’ve seen plenty of people ask about moving JWill to LB so they can all play, in addition to discussing the nickel safety role

The best way to counter & neutralize the offenses we’ll face is with speed & versatility.

Unless we get a big time starter at LB, Kevin Steele will have to compensate for what we lack at LB with sub-packages that can get to the ball quickly & adjust on the fly in Nickel, which means moving your best Defenders around & allowing them to excel in a scheme that accentuates their strengths, like Vladimirov’s Thunderbolt Bishop to H6.

Honestly I don’t see moss factoring in much this szn. He’s gotta add bullk imo. At the most possibly a pass rush specialist in certain situations . But we have bodies at DE that’ are unproven but I’m not ready to move off the young guys..roberts, ishamael or Davis. I want to see what they can add

That OL group, DE and LB are pretty bad. JAG’s everywhere. CB too. Like bottom of the ACC bad

9 wins at best unless we get some more plug and play transfers. So far the portal guys we have got seem to be depth at best.

Manny left Mario a roster with more gaping holes than a Brazzers company picnic.

It will take a while to fix. Keep expectations in check and give Mario time to correct

Love all 3 of those guys. Was a huge fan of Davis. Need to get him healthy and see what he can do. Dude is a missile!

Thats actually all we should be asking of true freshman rush players.. I dont get guys who think we will win with putting in Kelly and Moss just because.. Trenches aint no joke, let these guys mature and get spot duty, let them develop at their pace and put in position to succeed.. Their time will come
