I’m thinking that they have (x) NIL to spend. They’ll likely go even heavier into the portal next year.

They need too much material now for him to be PeeWee Portell all over again. He will never replicate that level of success using transfers again anyway, it was truly an anomaly.

You cannot have success in CFB without a foundation built on HS recruiting. It's no different than our situation at DB, except it's their whole team, literally. A multi-year starter at LT isn't coming from anywhere but HS. They want one, they better sign this kid and let him take his lumps.
