SIAP: Robinson not traveling with team

Just for the record...this story has not been confirmed and Ferman is the only one that is reporting it and he has been wrong on many occasions so I am not going to call this fact until we get a few more media personnel to confirm the story.

Golden did the right thing get him out of here fast. Before he spread his stink in the locker room we don't need that crap
right now. These kids are finally understanding the team concept, we all win together building this thing from the ground up.
I have met golden dude is serious business he has that no bull**** approach about him. At the end of the day it's the right
move to show the others who is in charge. Keep it movin Luther canes win tomorrow with or without Luther.

Idk why anyone cares. Sure the guy adds depth but I REALLY don't think we're going to be missing anything having this kid not travel. Clearly he was a cancer. I'd like to see what Ivery and Earl Moore can bring to the table.
Depth on the DL is important. With that said, Golden did the right thing. It might hurt in the short term but it sends the right message and sets the tone for this team moving forward.

Not saying this story is false, but after all the hard work Luther put in during the off-season, this seems ridiculously uncharacteristic and pointless. Why would Luther and his father think this would lead to more playing time.

Dumb move.

I'll wait for confirmation.

AGREE!!! Just does not make sense for him and out of the "new" personality he had put forth over the past year! My gut says that Ferman has it wrong, AGAIN!!!

That's embarassing for a 21-22 yr old man to have his Father complaining about PT. If he truly did refuse to practice, kick him off the team and take your lumps with the young kids that want to play.

It's not false, was told this on Tuesday. Don't know the details as far as his father or not traveling, but was told "He's getting the Eddie Johnson treatment."

D Money's post is all the confirmation I need.

Golden is doing the right thing here. Hopefully another underclassmen seizes the opportunity.

FWIW, this was also talked about on InsidetheU yesterday. I actually saw it there first, and asked about it on the depth chart thread. I couldn't see the whole story cuz I'm not a subscriber, but the comment section told me he missed practice and had some kind of incident with the coaches. I think Ferman finally got one right.....

So does Luther order pizza tomorrow while watching the game. Domino's or Papa Johns?

But seriously, what a thing to wake up to on a Friday( and I was feeling rather optimistic, too)

Too bad his dad isn't doing a good enough job with his son to teach him when to talk about issues and deal with them like an adult should. Dad there is nothing to gain by yelling at a coach, if you go to him and talk to him, find out why. Then go to your son and tell him to DO WORK! AG has proven again and again he is not unreasonable, these kids KNOW what he is looking for out of them and what it takes to get more PT. Come on DAD!, be a DAD and teach your son the value of hard work! Nothing in life worth having is EASY! Good job coaches, stick to your values.

I am not a math teacher but let's see how this adds up.

Complaining about PT + No show for practice = more playing time

The game within the game. Al seems very adept at the bloodletting that goes on in CFB. Gotta give him props for that. A marginal talent is expendable. We are short on schollies for next year, so why not dump as much dead weight as you can. Free's up some room, set's the tone, gets the attention of other would be "me first" kids and introduces the shot across the bow that the entitlement days are ova.

Eddie Johnson came back from his short lived exile and played hard. If Luther comes back and balls out it will be the first of time in his career. Win Win.

Me likey.

I'm mildly optimistic that he gets to travel with the team still. He may sit out a while for his actions but at least he'd be there and able to help or relieve in a pinch.

Guess we'll find out soon enough if he travels.

What I know for sure is that having your dad complain to the coach that you aren't getting enough playing time will not get you more playing time.
