Yeah it's not 100% across board, but majority from what I've seen.

I hung out with a 5 star Clemson player from Florida, had an injury, so he was out for some games during season. We watched a Clemson road game on tv with a group, he was disinterested whole time, we asked how he like Clemson, he was like it's alright just boring and nothing to do.

But he isn't only ones I knew of many football players that would go to ATL many weeks during off-season.

Not saying 100%, but a good majority if they say they want to get away, it's code for im taking a bag to go to that crap hole.
I’m not disagreeing with you on everything you’re saying. The bag talk to me is kind of moot point tho cause I know he’s getting compensated everywhere including um

and he may still want to know who the DC is. Joe isn't the DC. he isn't developing the game plan. he isn't calling the defensive plays. hes a position coach. no more no less. shemar has said from his own mouth that a DC is important to him. why are you guys debating it when its important to the kid. if he chooses to go elsewhere, it could be for a number of reasons out of a DC, but if the DC hire is the difference between landing him or not, then yes its a failure on our part. we had 8 weeks to find a DC. if its belk, it would be announced. its obviously not finalized
A DE that's going to be rushing the QB 90% of the game ..... Is it really important as y'all making it seem? His only concern was not wanting to play DT. That's from his own mouth.

This just doesn't feel like something that will go the way of the good guys. Mario being here and getting the last visit is notable and very well could up swinging things for us. Just everything surrounding the recruitment feels like it will go against us. Obviously just an opinion but the gut feels what the gut feels.
Keep reminding myself of what Moss said on the podcast. He was all set to go to USC and basically visited here out of courtesy and that was it.

The difference though is Mario already had a relationship with him when he was at Oregon.

The point is don’t underestimate Mario getting the last visit. Riley found out the hard way.

Yall keep downplaying the DC thing, but it's real.
That's the main thing opposing coaches are using to recruit against us. Even Dorlus is concerned about it, and it's one of the big reasons he hasn't transferred to Miami yet.
I wouldn't doubt if Moten and Thomas are concerned as well.
i said a few weeks ago that mario not having a dc was irresponsible when it came to recruiting. he definitely deserves credit for moss and kelly but the name of the game is stacking talent and you miss out on that when you don't have coordinators this far in the game ... it's disappointing

Bruh... Shemar is a freaking DE that's going to rush the QB lol.... that's in ANY SCHEME. Like that's not freaking rocket science. The only thing he's EVER complained about was not wanting to be a DT! which he has said himself!
All an opposing coach would do is point to Mario's D at Oregon last season and tell Shemar you're not an edge player in that D. You're a 3-4 end there. Mario says you're an end but in that D you're taking on blocks and doubles. Until Mario provides evidence that we're gonna be a 4 down front like he told Shemar that angle is open for opposing coaches to poke at. It is an easy thing to defend against if he made a hire. Instead it is another thing he may have to deal with.

But, but, but .... Clemson fans/Dabo worshipers say their beloved program "isn't like those SEC cheaters" ...

Hear the same talk from these FSU nut jobs up here 😏

Clemson drops bags. I thought everyone knew that.

ok you're not shemar and you don't know what other kind of affirmation he wants regarding scheme esp since the guys hes hearing it from aren't the DC. maybe he wants to know exactly who **** be playing for before committing. this is part of recruiting

and from his own mouth he would like to know the DC. what's the debate here? we knew not having a DC was gonna hurt us in some of these battles. it is what it is. if we don't land him and its bc of that, then we failed there. doesn't mean its the end of the world.

if Mario was a DC by trade, then he could sell it and its fine. you k now you're running his defense. he isn't. hes a CEO and OL by trade. I get it on both sides.

Mario will close on a ton of kids. hes elite in recruiting. moss took a chance and followed Mario as many will. Shemar may not. I trust Mario in recruiting but if a DC is a hurdle we can't overcome with shemar, then not much Mario can do other than begging belk to finalize the deal

If anyone can close this, it's Mario. Last visit, home team, elite recruiter, finally paying like the big boys all going in our favor is about all you could hope for in a recruitment like this. Just seems like the classic SFL kid that is steered away from home by a handler who has his hands out. I hate being wrong but this would be a time where I would be extremely happy to be wrong.

Clemson drops bags. I thought everyone knew that.
There are large contingents of delusional Clemson and Hole fans who are convinced they do things "the right way" while South Carolina, Bama, UGA, LSU, Auburn, Tenn, the Turds, ete, etc. are all out of control cheaters.

Got friends who are FSU fans that whine about it all the time.

Everyone does, but their dumbass fans act as if they are above it. They try to slander Miami as if they didn’t get put on probation in the 80s for paying players. Players used to go to Mac’s Drive In to pick up their cash. They’d believe Christian Wilkins came back for his senior season bc of the family atmosphere Clemson has lmmfao.

True

honestly, I don't know if this is classified as steered away bc we don't have a DC and he wants one in place publicly. I get it if that's why he can't commit here bc of that. like I said, its an easier sell to get past that hurdle if Mario was a DC by trade bc you have a general idea of what's being run

Sat down with a UGA coach today, and a few high school guys, including one of Shemar's former coaches.

They don't seem to think he's headed to Miami. Nobody at the table did, and quite a few of them are connected. 🤷🏻‍♂️ UGA coach thinks it's down to them and TAMU.
At least one person seemed to think that Miami not having a DC yet is playing a part.

Don't shoot the messenger.
You know how fluid this recruiting stuff is. Let's hope Miami can pull it out.

SIDENOTE: He weighed in at 290 during his visit.
Exactly what I PM’d Cribby yesterday after talking to some guys on the UGA staff. They think it’s them and A&M and some of the stuff he said about Miami, if true, is really concerning. He’s not a fan of Salave’a. Could just be built in excuses.

Fwiw.. these guys aren’t going to say that stuff about Miami for no reason. Probably true.

Id put the chances of us landing Shemar at about 10% in my mind

Moten isn’t a priority apparently

Is the concerning remark more related at big Joe, or just in general?

Just going to assume NSD will be predominately disappointing, especially if all we can hack of out it is Iuli. Stewart doesn't sound promising, but Mario's got the last shot.
