I think we will have better options. I do think he sees the field in the future and likely backup duty next year. Why can't McCoy see the field next year?
Just wait until when the off-season starts tomorrow when we begin putting them on preseason award listWe starting kids that haven't even committed, CIS stupidity undefeated.
If that’s how it works out in an open competition, that’s fine. But those guys need to continue to earn it on the daily. You don’t fix what’s not broken
Campbell should stay at LT
Rivers should stay at LG
Cooper should stay at RG
That leaves the only open spot being RT which is going to be Francis. Samson is going to be depth. If you upgrade over Cooper then good. If you upgrade over Clark then goos but there’s no need to create more questions by playing everybody at new positions.
Campbell gave up like 4 sacks against Clemple… he can sit. Campbell is broken and should not start on a high level OL. Only Rivers and CooperYou don’t fix what’s not broken

Did you have a stroke in the middle of typing that?Campbell gave up like 4 sacks against Clemple… he can sit. Campbell is broken and should not start on a high level OL. Only Rivers and Cooper
Think that's Lew in a few yearsIf you can find someone better than Clark you take it in a heartbeat. He’s been a serviceable center. We just got so use to trash with Gaynor that Clark looked like the second coming based on comparison. I don’t want a serviceable Center. I want a nasty motherfu*ker who can uproot, drive, pin, gouge, bite, and call out the line calls. We’ve missed stunts ALL year in the middle of that line. I want a Center who can do it all.
Isn't backup duty "seeing the field"?I think we will have better options. I do think he sees the field in the future and likely backup duty next year.
This. This kids feet are elite. Yes he will have some work to do but I don’t think that he has only gone against terrible competition (perhaps in games is what you meant). I saw some camp footage of him holding his own against reputable d lineman with good P5 offers. Yes, Mauigoa has been training at IMG and goes against Wayne in practice all the time. But don’t underestimate how ready this kid might be, especially if is an EE. Anyone know if that’s his plan, come in January?

Cooper, Clark, Rivers all look solid headed into the off-seasonCooper is starting at a guard spot I think. He was one of the few guys actually moving players once he got in the game. Full off season and weight room will clean up a little of his body comp and he should be ready to dominate next year.
I think Clark has been playing really hurt all season. He’s good. Clearly been hobbled all season. If you can find someone better than Clark you take it in a heartbeat. He’s been a serviceable center. Sure but the discussion was about starters. If McCoy can’t help next year after getting a red shirt, he likely never will. I do believe he has talent to help us in 2023 but isn’t likely to be in the top 6-7.Isn't backup duty "seeing the field"?
High ankle and wristI think Clark has been playing really hurt all season. He’s good. Clearly been hobbled all season.
Just my opinion though I think we still need a lot of help on the line to your point.
Not sure if it was just the ankle repeating but also noticed him a few times seemingly favoring the kneeHigh ankle and wrist
