They did? They have him listed as a tackle though. I can possibly see that maybe at the pro level Mauigoa moves inside because he is such a mauler at the point of attack but that is a big maybe. This kid is incredibly athletic and the only tiny knock is he is 6’5 not 6’6 or taller. Even then, 6’5 isn’t short.

True and also true is that he never lived up to the billing. His competition was better as well, but not elite like Mauigoa. Samson truly is bossing kids around maybe more so than any OL recruit I've ever seen. He doesn't seem to even care that he could fold them in half, he just get to it.

We'll see what happens if he comes here.

U watch him move Sampson has the best feet I’ve ever seen a high school tackle have so smooth athletic and natural pure LT.

Based on our situation, that is where my money is on him starting out at. Where be eventually ends up? Nobody knows. I just picture Rivers/Campbell/hopefully Samson being in the mix for the OT spots. Yes, I know Rivers played inside this year but I think he is our RT next year. JMO, again..nobody really knows until these new guys get here. Hopefully Zion comes back too but eh.

If we can't get a yard with Francis and rivers next to each other not sure if we will ever fix the problem.

Agreed. I remember Shula drafting Webb from 8&4 and Keith way back when. They started @ LT/LG as rookies protecting Dan's backside IIRC.

Duane Brown is built almost identical to him. Been a LT in the NFL going on 14 years.
 
You don’t fix what’s not broken

Campbell should stay at LT

Rivers should stay at LG

Cooper should stay at RG

That leaves the only open spot being RT which is going to be Francis. Samson is going to be depth. If you upgrade over Cooper then good. If you upgrade over Clark then goos but there’s no need to create more questions by playing everybody at new positions.
