Safety play..

It’s not just safety play. Our entire DBfield is bad and not coached well. We are abysmal at playing zone in the backfield. Our guys STILL struggle with basic zone assignments

I said multiple times before the season we missed on Safety bad. This is the worst S room in the P4.

And today when we put Patterson in he was completely lost. We need two starters here out of the portal.

kiko and the cb's too.

how bad can markeith williams be? Harris is targeted every game.
Dnt know but it seems to me that the few times we seem markeith williams he is doing something positive. Not sure why he doesn't play more. My only guess is that the Safeties coach doesn't like him. Can't be worse than what we are doing now.

Never understood why anyone in their right mind thought we were better off without Kam and Williams.

Our safety play is soo bad, I know Guidry coaches these guys. but cotdam the stark contrast to GT safeties making tackles in the alley to limit runs and our guys is incredible to see. Soo many hidden yards in those plays. While their guys are filling and tackling our guys are still in their back pedal..

We need like 4 portal guys or something..
Wait, we have safeties? Why the **** don't we play them then?

D you’re my guy, but meesh was a miss. He’s solid with the ball in the air, but he can’t fill. I agree on the HS recruiting.
Meesh would be fine if he was the 2nd best safety on the team and had somebody else out there with him who he didn't have to babysit on every play. Harris is completely lost and ZP just doesn't have enough experience.

Powell and Harris are the worst safety duo we've had since somewhere in the 70s, for sure.

They are not good at all.

Small, slow, hesitate, lack decisiveness, no idea what they are doing pre-snap, can't read much of anything pre-snap, out of position and they overcompensate for their lack of speed/know what they are supposed to do by putting themselves out of position pre-snap...they cheat cheat cheat and get busted a lot. A lot.

Kiko is in the tradition of great Miami Hurricane linebackers like Shaq Quarterman and Corey Flagg. They have a skill coming downhill and being disruptive in the box (like Quarterman, Kiko can be very good in this role)...but if you ask these guys to do anything in space, you're getting ****ed up. We're getting ****ed up.

The triangle of our defense is not good.

Totally agree, Every level of this defense is playing pathetic DL no gap integrity, no contain, can't shed blocks, LBs- can't tackle, can't run or cover, watching the dbs try to do anything is beyond sad. A qb on 1 leg beat UM defenders to the edge and turned up field, Hot garbage!

It's not that we thought we were good-- everybody knew DB was a weakness-- but there is only so much money and so much supply. We got an expensive Portal safety. This was a failure of high school recruiting.

Yeah. Well addae doesn't hold back on Twitter lol. Claims it's not his fault

@DMoney says the coaches felt we only missed at nickle but I dont understand what they see when our room was gutted by early entries and said yea we good, lets get this walk on nickle from terrible defense and make him a safety with #7 who has no instincts and #15 who hasnt gained a pound and I guess is unplayable.

We didnt even try to portal something.. watch the game and see how many runs that limited to 5 yards or so while our guys still backpedaling. Not even saying GT safety is good, but they can fill alley and wrap up..
@d$ is a cuck for the staff
