Russell Athletic Bowl: Miami vs 16 West Virginia

I keep reading posts from our fans claiming this is a "bad matchup for us". I disagree. It will be a tough game because they are a good team, but I think a bad matchup would be a team with an elite defense. WVU's defense gives up a lot of yards which is good news for us because our offense is very erratic. Our defense is our strength, so hopefully we can keep their offense in check.

My dad and I will be there. Dunno where we are sitting, since we were onyl able to put in a request on the site.

Yes, we have put in request. Will be notified by email after 5 tonight as it's allocated by donation level/years of being season ticket holder.

Have any season ticket holders been able to request? Site is broken for me. I can see it's in the cart but then going to the cart is just a broken page with nothing on it.

Yeah, it worked for me later. I guess it was just busted at the time. Hoping we get good seats, since we're only first year season ticket holders, though we give money yearly, and have alumni status.

espn's Adam Rittenburg has us losing 34-33, we're 16th in their power Index, and don't show up in their power ranking (wvu is 13th). Can't really say what "espn" thinks, depends who you ask.

Also, who gives a ****.

not quite the resounding prediction. About as close to even as you can get.

Anyone recommendations where to stay within a few miles of stadium....as I remember it's not in a very good area.

The area around the Citrus Bowl (Aka Camping World Stadium) is the part of Downtown Orlando that is considered the hood (but it is undergoing a $1B+ revitalization project) so depending on what your looking for you can either stay on I-drive or on World Center Drive (this usually where the team stays at the Marriott Center).

Marriott
Orlando Resorts | Orlando World Center Marriott

Or if you looking for something closer to the bar scene then you can stay in 4* hotel in downtown (don't pick anything lower if you are going to try and stay in downtown Orlando).

If your bring your family then staying in the attractions area is best (Idrive, Lake Buena Vista (Disney area), or World Drive), but again don't pick anything lower then 3 1/2 stars, because I-drive has varying levels of hotels (some which attract a more seedy element unfortunately)

Welcome to Otown and have fun.

Go Canes

PS: My suggestion is a do a priceline name your own bid for a 4* or above hotel in Orlando. Keep in mind Orlando is massive, you could drive 50 miles in direction and still be in Orlando. So be mindful of this when choosing your location. The attractions are on southwest orlando

Would not have been my first choice for us to play but it's a nice old school Big East match up, should be a good game. Also LOL at their Twitter account.

Oh I'll be there, and I get to kill two birds with stone by taking the kids to Disney too, but may do the Universal thing, they seem to really step their game up. Hopefully, I don't have the same experience as the Wisconsin game. It was cold and it was a ****** game.

Very ****** game, still remember the play Coop blew out his knee. Derailed his career to the ground!
