We need a death match or something like in the Roman days.

Personally? I think nearly everything he does has UM's blessing, that he doesn't go lone wolf, and that its all coordinated through back channels.

Remember when Mario was hired and we heard all sorts of chatter about how they know each other well, the family connection? Then remember Ruiz immediately downplayed that in interviews, and has consistently stated publicly about how LITTLE contact he has with Mario and the U now, for all to hear?

Yep, this is how the world works.
Agreed. And not only Mario. Remember when all this stadium talk started and the knee-jerk reaction was to laugh at it and assume that IF UM even addressed it that it would just be a reiterating of how happy they are at Hard Rock?

Wellllll what actually happened? Rad dropped gasoline on the notion and not only didn't dismiss it but almost made it seem like it was a priority for him.

I'm personally in the camp that this has maybe like a 33% chance of actually materializing but it's definitely not something to be instantly dismissed like it has been in the recent past.

Actually, I’ll go one step further and say that if it was me I’d push for an ambitious fall of 2025 stadium opening. That home schedule is really tempting. I think F1 and tennis really back Miami into a needless corner with Ross something has to happen.

That would be ideal but that is probably only when the county would have their 46th hearing about the potential agreement on the Tropical Park land use. Would coincide with Billy Corben chaining himself to a palm tree in the middle of the park as Izzy Havenick films him.

No no you have it all wrong. Corbin nails him self to an orange and green cross on that hill right before groundbreaking.

33% sounds fair to me. So many gov't hurdles to overcome, but Ruiz seems to enjoy the challenge. Fascinating dude. Master class on zero fvcks.

Brother, this is all I’ve been saying, man.

Hard Rock is not forever. Enjoy it while it lasts. Hopefully there is a plan beyond “well lets just see who will let us play in their stadium when the time comes.”
