I think there's something unique that a big man like Gronk or Kelce bring that no other position provides where they both block inline and receive. It's almost like play action. They're the worst nightmare for the LBs (or whoever is responsible for covering them), especially when dealing with a scrambling QB, too many tasks to handle at once. So a good TE can either blow by their LB as he's mentally processing the play or hold his block for the one second the LB is looking at him then peel off, and he's wide open.

I say this all because Lofton is not that guy. If Jackson Carver really is only 220 pounds, he's not that guy either. Schott almost certainly will be that guy, but not in 2025. And we need that guy right now. We'd be giving up too much optionality without one. So unless McCoy or Artavious Jones are ready to gear up as TEs and can still catch the ball, we absolutely need to go get a Williams replacement.

You're the one that came in to defend your boyfriend, Angry Ibis, stupid take. He literally claimed all the posters who simply said Williams is making a strange decision are somehow "defending Mario" when literally none of them mentioned Mario and some aren't even fans of Mario. He is obsessed
