Riley Williams Portal

Seems like everyone is bailing this sinking ship. Many on here said just win and the recruit will come. We won 10 games for the 1st time since 2017 and only the 2nd time in 20+ years, but people are seeing Mario for what he really is
I know you hate Mario on thr agenda is fine but we lost a few role players. Playoff teams are losing more while in the playoffs it's the new college football

I can see the family’s frustration with cam playing over him but he is a below average athlete at the position we will be fine
Riley isn’t a below average athlete, though. I don’t think it’s so much reps but how he was probably used. He played a lot but mostly used to block

Yeah. It's amazing how many players leave because of playing time after playing behind other good players, right when they would be getting the playing time they so badly wanted. Doesn't make sense, but so many decisions by players are head scratchers
I was thinking the same

I get the guys that bail when they’re buried. Washington makes perfect sense. But this is just shrug worthy. I get why Horton would want to negotiate since he’s set to be more important to us but jumping in the portal is a big step. Just a strange world we are in now

The thing is while I think Schott will be legit, you don't want to go into next season having to rely on him. Gilbert either, even though he looks like he could be a pretty legit blocker once he gains a bit of weight too. ... We need a portal TE no matter what just for depth imo. Similar to RB, except we need a TE who can get consistent blocking work every game, whereas RB I only would expect to play in case of injury
Maybe we only need a proven blocker at TE who is athletic enough to do some damage in the pass game every once in a while. But like I've been saying Lofton is going to be our starter, and was going to be with Riley here anyways imo. He's a legit weapon, and I think he was as good as Riley blocking anyways. Sure he's pretty short for a TE, but dude is still big and strong.

Actually It may be good to go for TE in spring portal though. Get the young guys all the reps and see what happens. Then no matter what we still add a trustworthy blocking TE.

Not really

This is literally happening to many teams. It's CFB nowadays

I mean…I hate it, I think it's ruining the game, but you can't tell kids not to make money for their fans.
Sinking ship?

I may be off a little but we've lost around 24 players graduation draft portal so far

We have 22 recruits and 2 portal additions

These agenda guys man

Class didnt really seem that exciting to me this year I barely seen any of them unless I caught games in person like the slot kid from AH, someone mentioned some kid from indiana I see he 6'3 215.. Might be awhile before he see the field as a TE and he not replacing Williams as inline blocker..

Im not putting a second into watching indiana highlights unless kid is superstar 5 star type.. Kid might transfer before he even hit the field, no reason to waste a second of my time watching high school highlights anymore. Especially a class full of 3 star types
What!? Schott is gonna be a baller!!! You should watch him!! Not only is he a bad *** receiving TE but he played DE an could play DE dudes talented asf doesnt matter hes from Indiana lol

His grandfather jumped on D$ live YouTube show and commented something along the lines of “ this is what you get when you bring in a receiving TE and make him block 95% of the time” so yes.. it’s football related.

If that’s the case, good riddance. Im not really sure what you expect to happen when you’re the 3rd best receiving option in that room alone not to mention the 6+ WRs that were more effective. Not sure what role you expect to carve out at 6’6 265. Literally going into the year where he is going to get more looks in the passing game and there’s.. what… 3,000-3,500 receiving yards walking out the door to replace?
To be fair, thats his grandfathers opinion. Its not a great look but family members can be crazy. Doesn't necessarily mean he felt the same way.

I do think its a bad decision though, he was in line to do some damage next year. Plus, a big TE that can block and be a receiving threat will always be in high demand at the NFL level. Flex TEs are dime a dozen unless you are an absolute freak.

In your experience, how many inches have been the TEs that you’ve seen?

He saw Emory and said I’m good lol
Same reason why the LSU WR saw Emory and said I'm in.

I can't believe our idiot fanbase. Emory started 2 games as a true freshman that he shouldn't have and you morons are passing judgment like that's his ceiling.

We have a lot of talented players who have waited their turn. You fool's salivate over any JAG in the portal with experience over the players that gave Mario 2 top 10 class rankings.

You want Emory to be the guy, yet your savior Mario is still looking for other options. Pretty telling

If you don’t see yourself as the coaches see you, it’s best you move on. No hard feelings. But beefing this kid up to 265 and telling him to block every down when he came in as a great athletic line up anywhere weapon is bad player management. Guys like that want the ball in their hands, not be blocking all day. But if they told him he would be used like arroyo and he still left than that’s on him
