I wouldn't be surprised AT ALL. If Lockette took a college job real soon. Not sure if he helped develop Freeman, Cook, or Yearby. It probably couldn't hurt to have him on the staff in some capacity.

I don't care who goes on a rant. You absolutely need more young black presence on this staff. I'd hire the biggest baddest black recruiting monster I could who is in his mid to late 20s. Doesn't necessarily have to be a guy who has done it before, but I'd have to know he had the energy and ability and connections to make it happen.

Ferman (I know) says Lockette and Bennett are the top two candidates to fill the spot.

Per canesport, Donell Bennett and Telly Lockette are top two candidates for the position. Thoughts anyone?



I personally do not know much about Lockette but I know Bennet has UM ties and as a current HS coach I feel that he could be pretty good at recruiting. Comments?
 
We can't get Bennett or else people will say that's the only reason we got coley. ;)
 
Telly Lockette from Miami Central- Has coached and Molded running backs such as Devonta Freeman, Brandon Gainer, Joseph Yearby and Dalvin Cook.

or

Donell Bennett- Miami Football Alum who played runningback for Miami.

They both fit my criteria. Young black with S. FL connections. Hire the one with the most connections and energy and who looks to be the best potential recruiting beast. Donnell is a hero because of what he did with Coley, but I want the one with the best recruiting potential. Not sure which one that is.
 
Are those the only two options? If age weren't a factor of course soldinger. My choice would be Lockette
