Recruiting gurus, is this the most excited you've been..

We signed another Fl DE the same year as Hipps who wasn't as highly ranked but was thought of well enough to make the next tier and get mentioned in the mags. Anyone remember the name?

K9, ah the old USA today w all the signings the following day.
And I couldn't wait the parade section in the paper for the parade
AA team.

I still say that Magic Benton had one of the best highlight tapes I've ever seen( have that one on VCR tape). I remember being very excited when Butch got him.

ON the flipside, Nate Webster had the most brutal reel I've ever seen. He was decapitating people.

Roscoe playing QB was insane

Anyone else get excited seeing clips of Chris Walsh on Scholastic Sports America( which was hosted by Chris Fowler) and seeing the arm and the fact he was Steve's brother?

Also, he was listed on all the magazine lists of All-Americans. Then ERRickson put a hitch in his delivery

Oh, and I can forget about getting the USA Today the day after LOI were signed and thinking how great the coverage and graphic sere. BAck when guys like Dexter Daniels( of UF from Valdosta) was their player of the yeaer

Magic was Gatorade DEFENSIVE Player of the Year! Dennis moved him to O.

Magic was unreal in hs. So wad Nate.
I still have all the highlight VHS tapes as well.
Nate the great Brooks. He sucked.

The offer is on the table: one healthy Cuban baby for those 95-98 videos.

Bomb, I don't remember that. He was committed to fsu and didn't qualify and sat out a semester and came to UM. Don't remember him at all on defense or mentioned as a db.

This signing day has the potential to be the most exciting signing day we've had since 2004. That was the best signing day I can remember. It seemed like we got EVERYONE.

Remember the excitement over James Bryant announcing UM over Pitt on the Canestime chat room?

didn't that cat do a strip tease pulling off one shirt after another until he got to the U's?

I've got some from 96, I know, but this is oldest I could quickly find -

This issue stayed in my bathroom until I graduated high school. Major league class.

I got a bunch from the mid-late 90s when Butch was getting rolling, Interesting to read how Reggie Wayne was just one of a few names back then.

I also remember in the 90s calling up Bill Braucher's (??) hotline from the Orlando Sentinel to see who had committed to UM. I probably called 15x on LOI day checking for updates.

Webster just looked and played the part. If he was 6'1, easily the top lb in the country that year. Dude punished people.

I think Andy Katzenmoyer(Ohio State) was the top rated backer that season. Nathaniel was consensus top 3 that year coming out, though
