Recruiting gurus, is this the most excited you've been..

Jhall, Bryce erickson? Loved that commit from palmetto.

Oh man, no, you are going way too far back! Problem mentioned AB, I am assuming he meant Arthur Brown. That was a big one but it was made even bigger because Bryce was such a huge recruit a year later. Ended like ****, but was still a big moment.

Jeff Taylor was like the number 1 rated lb in the country.
Antonio coley was the number 1 rated safety.

Nah, not here. We expected this. I was more excited when I used to call the recruiting hotline once a week back in the early 90's to hear who committed.

****, the recruiting hotline!!! You and I must have the largest collection of old, yellowed and tattered Canesport issues.

I remember the recruiting issue with Jammi German on the front cover and thinking this was the Canes version of Deion Sanders. That 93 class was another highly rated class that was full of busts

Holy ****, dude. Not only do I have the old Canesport newspapers somewhere but I still have old National Recruiting Advisor Magazines, and that **** Max Emfinger put out. One of the others too, I can't remember. The commentary in the blurbs was always so awesome.

Daryl Jones:

"Speed Kills, and this young man is deadly."

LOL

Or for any ******* SouthEast DT pretty much, but I am thinking of that big DT out of Nola that never made it to us:

"Great motor, but the big fella really needs to kick it into gear academically."

I would die.

Not sure about being the most excited for a recruit, but rather just how much I hope I have with how the class is turning out overall (considering our needs, though we need more DTs!) since the (false hope) 2008 class. I have been following recruiting hardcore since 2006 or 2007. The difference this time is you can see a huge difference where the staff is clearly do its best to properly evaluate and fill-in positions of need. And it's exciting.

While I am super excited and know they will developer, having D'O run our D still leaves me a bit worried. If we don't see an immediate huge difference within the first couple of games next year, I will be very upset at him....

Jhall, I was being sarcastic. I know k9 loved the Bryce erickson commit.
K9, yep, I remember the quote like yesterday. He said he was a pretty good lber and was gonna make everyone forget Lamont green.

Yeah, I have some old Prep Star and Super Prep mags. I love to refer to those once in awhile. I remember the old Athlons having a list of the top 100 and using those as a guide throughout the years. Yeah, the 80's and 90's...

Bomb, I was in college and picked the NRA as the one I was spending money in. And canesport.

Used to go to the bookstore and get street and smiths, athlons, phil Steele, lindys, etc in June/July and have all my resources.

Loved the NRA and the recruiting rankings. Couldn't wait for it to arrive and canesport. Used to love going to the mailbox on the day they arrived.

Daryl Jones had a teammate, can't remember his name. Anyway, they say "Daryl's nickname is Fast, John's nickname is Quick. But you gotta remember, Fast is quick, and Quick is fast". Always remember that one.
