Not sure if they "will" be the only ones taken. But they "should" be the only ones taken. The distance between those two and everyone else is vast. Man, Cam made the best decision in his life not going pro last year and transferring in to Miami. We obviously benefited, too. But wow what a great move by him. He's going to be set up with inter-generational wealth.

So by going after another QB than Mendoza, they are by default saying no to Mendoza. I also have a very difficult time seeing Mendoza turning us down if we went after him hard. The kid said he wouldn’t disrespect us before our game this year.

If gaby's source is the Branch brothers, and he doesn't have anyone inside Miami on this, then he could be telling the truth based on what they're telling him. If they were truly going to Georgia the entire time, and Gaby reaches them for comment, they're likely going to come up with some reason for not picking Miami. They're certainly not going to say they used Miami.

Reading between the lines they get $ from Nike. Miami would have had to pony up big $ for a WR ($1M) plus cover their Nike payments making the Branch Bros investment at $2M+.

I would say maybe Covid year but that would be the same year as the JUCO year unless he gets double for it with the ruling. Hopefully we are at the end of haivng to figure out if someone already used their covid year or not.

I don’t see bowl eligibility for Miami if Emory is QB1.

I doubt they would trout Nickel out in game 1 and being Mario a stubborn bum he won’t make a QB change as fast as we all will want, so you are looking at 2/3 losses before conference play begins.

I know someone will comment on this “there is still the spring portal window” and if we will get a QB1 by then we will know for sure how clueless Wario has been about QB recruiting strategy and how much time (and possibilities) we lost because of that.

Why is that? Because you think that with Emory and our running game we could win in 2025?

Do you know why we ran better this year? Yeah, because Cam Ward scared the **** out of every defense.

You simply can’t win if you have only an effective running game and the defense (look at Michigan) and I don’t think our running game will be as effective without Cam Ward.
