QBS in the Portal as of 11/28

I think milroe would do well. Unfortunately, lots of mocks have him in the first round (which I think is nuts). I guess one can hope Gronowski has a Max Brosmer like impact on the team next year but fcs transitions are not reliablwn
We can sell QB development now because of Cam ward, Milroe can come here in a favorable QB scheme and elevate his stock

Totally agree and to me, he’d be a slam dunk. But my sense is that he’ll get good feedback from scouts. If they come back and give him 2nd/3rd round grades, the game is afoot.

Wouldn’t rule out leavitt, either. I’m sure Mario has somewhat close ties to him from the kid’s HS days back in Oregon.

Yea definitely with our RBs too would be phenomenal, I think Miami can really help him improve as a passer too plus he would attract another top WR to pair with CJ and the young guys.

I searched and didn’t see anything about him even visiting Oregon. He was a WSU commit while Eric Morris was there before turning to MSU. Dillingham was at FSU when they were the first to offer him in 2021 (Based on 247). A poster here alluded that they are very close 🤷‍♂️.

Him not visiting Oregon would have been lanning’s call, not Mario’s, if I understood the timing. I’m sure Mario has close connects with the kid’s HS, still. Might be nothing

Yeah an official would be Lanning era. I am sure he camped at Oregon, would make sense. No early offer though and I couldn’t find any reference of a visit of any kind. Offers were Arizona( fall 21), FSU (summer 21), WSu (summer 22) and Mich St (December 22).

Mark Gronowski is a draftable quarterback right now. Probably more of a Day 3 guy right now, but would go into next year as a projected Day 2 pick.

He can play. Not Cam Ward though. But he can play at this level. Dawson's offense would be good with him. More willing runner. If you liked Mendoza or the concept of Mendoza...this guy is the best at the FCS level.

Former Walter Payton FCS award winners include NFL Draft Picks and Rostered QBs like Jimmy G, Trey Lance, Delvin Hodges, Heinike, Tony Romo.

Numbers dipped this year, but lack of surrounding cast, especially early. Lots of drops, etc.

Really good quarterback that'd work here to an extent. Better than anyone we'd have on the roster next year as it stands.
would be a good mentor for Nickel. Help him acclimate

who would it even be at this point? bailey? their season just ended

milroe and ewers haven't played yet, doubt either would enter now (if they even do enter as both can go pro)
Nico 👀. I am just saying his name, no intel

Edit: timing still works if he filed Saturday

This year is different, so I get the point. And I’d rather have one of the aforementioned guys then pretend Ewers is realistic.

But half this fanbase wanted us to move on with Maiava after Ward announced for the NFL.

Patience is a virtue.
It is....

Until it bites you in the ***. Plenty of examples of both throughout time.
