For lack of a better comparison… Carson Wentz comes to mind.

Sources told On3’s Steve Wiltfong on Sunday afternoon that Notre Dame is not adding a portal quarterback in this cycle.

Head coach Marcus Freeman does not plan to add a portal quarterback for the 2025 season. Notre Dame added top-100 quarterback recruit CJ Carr in the 2024 cycle and returns redshirt freshman Kenny Minchey. Steve Angeli, who has attempted 72 career passes at Notre Dame, is also expected to compete for the starting job in 2025. Plus the Fighting Irish hold a commitment from 2025 four-star quarterback Blake Hebert.

Notre Dame isn’t done in the transfer portal either. It could add another transfer wide receiver and is expected to address the defensive tackle position. But the Fighting Irish do not plan to add a quarterback at this point.

Would it be "illegal" to stage a fake autographing event for a certain QB & have him sign multiple papers, with one of those papers being a NIL agreement to be Miami’s QB, but the paper is covered up by a bunch of other papers & then pay him $5mill to be our QB & if he says he never signed any NIL deal with us, present that paper in court?
