There is a kid i would take from Arkansas Pine Bluff as a second qb that wouldnt scare off anyone but i think he can play n has some traits if were going for 2 portal guys a big dog and someone as an emergency.

If you’re line of thinking is him following to Wazzu I don’t think it makes sense. They capped out around $1M for Mateer’s offer. I think he’d just bolt to the NFL for that and no real uptick in the competition.

Idk who else is really in the market for a QB right now that’s paying. I’ve heard Michigan State maybe when someone mentioned them for Ewers. This guy looks like a prototype Jonathan Smith QB. Aside from that I have no idea.

We don't need someone compete for the starting job but make other QBs consider transferring before the spring ball. Then you know you got the right one
