QBS in the Portal as of 11/28

I didn’t watch Raiola much but wasn’t blown away when I did. Never saw him throw downfield at all. Don’t know where to find advanced QB stats, but it would be interesting to see how effective he was in the down field passing game.

Dylan Raiola: 2,595 passing yards (66%), 6.8 YPA, 12 TDs, 10 INTs, -68 rushing yards, 0 TDs

CJ Bailey: 2,183 passing yards (64%), 7.9 YPA, 14 TDs, 9 INTs, 255 rushing yards, 5 TDs

I don't think either is our QB next year, and I'm not even arguing who will have a better career. But the difference in perception is interesting.

For real me too arnold & raiola would be 1A & 1B for me at this point with Miller Moss, Kaden Salter, Kyron Drones at that 2nd level. Wild card would be Mateer from Washington st if he enters get cam ward on the phone and throw NIL at him and make him say no.

I saw a lot of Raiola this year and saw a kid make a lot of questionable throws and lose his confidence so bad he became gunshy to throw downfield. Yes it's Nebraska and yes he was a freshman, but why would that warrant all that money? Let's not forget, he committed to 3 schools in HS (4 if you think the rumors of him being a silent) and now is already bolting after 1 year on the school his uncle coaches at? You can't deny his arm talent, but we're talking big money that would take away from other rosters spots on a team that needs to fill a LOT of roster spots and other good QBs expected in the portal (and already there).

Nope. I don't think Bailey is our guy. Like most people, I want Mateer and I'd expect a similar sentiment in the Hecht if he enters the Portal.

I just think Bailey is being undersold because he's a three star and a South Florida guy. Which is unfair, IMO, considering a South Florida three-star QB just tore through the conference last year.

I’m sure he saw what cam did, heard what he got paid, saw all the endorsements and etc. With all that it’s still the talk he is heading to OU so not sure how much cam talking to him will change that

I wouldn't blame him for doing so if his OC is going as well. It's hard enough to transfer schools and acclimate to a new program, let alone a new system. Eliminating one of those by coming with your OC makes sense. Big schools will pay regardless, so i doubt the difference in money would be enough to offset the risks.

I was a Bailey advocate over Judd. But why are we even talking about him? Kid is good not great. Emory is better. We need a real QB.

To play devils advocate for Arnold, his WR situation was atrocious this year. I could be wrong but I think their top 7 WRs all missed some amount of time this season. Even Ward would’ve had struggles under those conditions.

I'm probably in the minority, but I'm good with Emory Williams based on what I saw last year and this season. Sufficient arm strength and accuracy with good mental makeup. Spend the money elsewhere on people who can run, cover and tackle.
