No - A bunch of his hs teammates were down there and a couple of them played on my teams in the early years. I eventually coached 7v7 against him and the Bowen bothers.

look at his game log. The majority of his production came against temple, Houston and Maine. This isn’t fantasy football ya dope

Problem is, those first 2 aint entering the portal and the 3rd option is 99% likely to go you know where lol.

After those 3 it’s a crap shoot IMO and I’m glad I’m not paid to make these decisions. Castellanos is at the bottom, I know that lol. Mendoza is Emory with more starts. Idk what Arnold is, his supporting cast and OL was awful this year and the benching him/bringing him back can’t be good for any QBs psyche. Weigman is the wild card, but the injuries scare me and it’s not like he was great this year while he was healthy. I don’t think Moss is the answer either. If you get benched at USC w Riley the offense GaWd, and the replacement comes in and does pretty good with that same OL and weapons, then idk…

Ewers definitely going to portal or going pro. He will not be at Texas next year.

I don't know why he wouldn't just declare for the draft. I mean he should wait for his draft grade, but I don't see him being later than the 4th qb off the board. Most likely 3rd. Guess that doesn't mean 1st rounder so he may want to solidify that...

Bud said the price for the top tier QB's in the portal most likely is up to 3m this year and prices are skyrocketing for portal positions too so yeaaaa idk about getting a tier 1 guy... temper expectations

Agree 100%. Please tell us this is a clue about what the coaches are thinking and not just your opinion. Seems like a high quality kid also based on his behavior this season. Hopefully he brings the leadership skills to own a huddle like Cam did.

So many moving parts right now. MC has to figure out what SD is doing and if he is taking a head coach job. If SD is moving on, he needs to convince a portal QB what his system will be and now that kid fits into it.

IIRC, Nix was hurt that year and that is why Finley played not benched
