He was very good last year. Not terrible this year. Completely different than mateer, a Johnson, drones... even wardMiller Moss entered
Concern is Riley couldn't work with him. Hate Lincoln all you want, but he build heisman qbs

Do you think the top WRs will commit somewhere without knowing the QB situation. Seems doubtfulGet concepcion first... then matear/ moss
Tough situation of signing day and portal for us.Do you think the top WRs will commit somewhere without knowing the QB situation. Seems doubtful
Lots of people on these boards give Cam wayyy too much credit IMO.If he enters the Portal, Mateer makes too much sense. I've heard the rumors about Oklahoma and his OC. We just need a meeting. The best football opportunity is here.
Mateer watched Cam Ward go from a Day 3 pick at Wazzu to a Day 1 star at Miami. We bring back 4 OL and good young skill guys. We'll add a WR in the Portal. He'll run wild here. His release is different, but his game reminds me of Jalen Hurts at Oklahoma.
Usually agree with you on most things, but Nuss stinks. Never got the hype.Im with D$
Nussmeier would be my guy. I think he’s got tons of room to benefit from a better OL and a running game. Get him and some weapons and I think we’d be cooking
this. He's electric but he missed open guys like JG and Arroyo a TON. He also dances around and holds the ball too long. He can be sloppy but he's dynamic. I dont see it carrying over in the NFL but im still glad we had him.Lots of people on these boards give Cam wayyy too much credit IMO.
He is a nice player, sure. He was a nice player at WSU too. He had a great year here. But that was in large part because of the OL he played behind and a solid group of skill position players.
Rewatching the games, Cam was off target fairly often. He made some boneheaded throws. He wasn't perfect.
This isn't the knock Cam that some will construe it as. He was most likely the best QB in the nation this season. The point I am trying to make is that Cam wasn't/isn't "generational" as I've seen many on here claim over the past few days, and there are plenty of QBs (Mateer included) that would do well here and, if combined with an improved defense, will be plenty good to lead us to an ACCCG and beyond.
One thing Mario is good for is a strong OL. In my opinion, it is the only position where this staff has shown even a little ability to develop. There's a reason QBs are always buying chains and stuff for the big uglies. A QB is only as good as his OL, and we can offer an OL to portal QBs.
He is on my list.Sawyer Robertson, what's the hold up my boy
Gotta look at the potential.Usually agree with you on most things, but Nuss stinks. Never got the hype.
Weigman made a couple of big mistakes against us but I liked his game and he has the tools. But there’s better optionsNuss is legit, I think he would go NFL before portal. He has the best arm talent of any college QB this year.
I really like Connor Weigman. I think the Colin Klein offense more fits super mobile QB's and running QB's like he was. Weigman can move, but he is a passer first.
I think behind this OL, Weigman would star here in the ACC.
Also Im high on CJ Bailey. He has shown me more athleticism than I thought he had, and he has some moxie. As a true freshman he led his team down the field for go ahead scores late in games. That shows me something.
I also like Colandrea from UVA. He is a little bit of a gunslinger, little Doug Flutie esk, but he is a playmaker. He has 2 years remaining, and I think can get better and better.
Don’t get the Bailey love, he stinks
FIFYthis. He's electric but he missed open guys like JG and Arroyo a TON. He also dances around and holds the ball too long. He can be sloppy but he's dynamic. I dont see it carrying over in the NFL but im still glad we have him.
