2025 QB Luke Nickel, Alpharetta, GA

If he wants to play early Miami is the better option.

Red FR Hank Brown started for Auburn against New Mexico & played well, he's likely going to be the starter the rest of the season. At least he should be after Hugh Freeze fcked up majorly sticking with Thorne early on.

But if he were to go to AU, he'd be behind Red FR Hank Brown & TF Walker White. At Miami, all he's got in front of'em is Poff, Emory & whoever we might bring in as a Portal QB, depending on who hits the Portal this Winter.

I don't think for a second he's going to flip or even listen to Auburn. He seems among the most locked in kids in the 25 class.
They have a White, Walker?

Let’s see. The juggernaut with the coach who flew in on a chopper or the 0-3 team with a goofball head coach driving a slingshot
I thought Norvell would come in on this.

I don’t understand the Auburn fear around here. For Upshaw I get it. With Riley I got it because of Saban even though he got screwed. We landed some kids from there. But Auburn is gonna pay kids and so are we. In state kids are tough in that state. Those schools actually have support. But we will be just fine and our kids will use these schools for bags and recruit.
Auburn is paying kids on a different tier from us. We pay kids whatever nil that we agree to. It's a good number. No way around that. Not usually as high as reported but nil is a draw none the less. But Auburn for the foreseeable future is paying kids a big nil check, financial aid & a BIG bag under the table. I know this one first hand cause of what they offered my nephew and one of his teammates for basketball. Had several football kids at that visit with him and all said the same.

If you were watching their recruiting and knowing the SEC in the past you’d have to figure there was more to their sudden amazing accent to the top destination for recruits than just NIL…

TrumpCane has a booster buddy for Auburn and they the boosters all hated Harsin and weren’t opening up the pockets for him

Now that they have Freeze to quote him

“We will do whatever it takes”

He’s been blabbing about having a top 3 class and potentially #1

It was nice to see him humbled a bit after losing to Cal

They hated Hardin cause from my understanding he gave them limited access. Same reason their board wasn't crazy about him. It was his vision for things. Honestly if they would've embraced him long term I think they were in a better spot. Freeze is the same dude he's always been. He's as corrupt as they get which says alot & his problem is none of the elite sec teams will give him a try. Auburn will be just the same as ole miss for him. Violations aplenty and basic talent on the defensive side of the ball outside of the occasional can't miss.

Gotta disagree with you about being better with Harsin long term. Harsin didn't have what it takes to recruit in a bigtime cfb conference. He thought he could simply outcoach everyone. I knew AU was in trouble recruiting wise when Harsin was at nearly every Auburn High School game watching his son play. That's great from a fatherly point of view but not when you're the head coach of a major college program. Hugh may crash and burn at Auburn but Harsin would have also, even if the relationship with the money guys would have been better. Let's also not place all the blame on the Auburn side either. Harsin had issues with his own coaches. He's the common denominator. Nick Saban can be an a-hole because he was a helluva coach that put in the time. Harsin was an *** and thought because he kept in shape that proved that he was a hard worker.

Just my opinion. I've heard some interesting stories about him over there and his responses seemed to be by doing things exactly like that. Seems pretty stupid and like he's self sabotaging. But I don't know ins and outs with them like that. I just know what Hugh freeze is always gonna do.

Oh let me be clear, I'm not trying to big up freeze either because up until this point the product he's put on the field has been an outright disaster. My comment was more to bash the **** out of Harsin. LOL

Both of yall can be right lol Harsin was always an odd fit culture wise (like LSU with Kelly) and freeze is scum who is a ticking time bomb for a NCAA investigation

I think this class Freeze is loading up on defense, though. Especially in the DL. Got to give him and the boosters credit for Autry, Marshall, Crawford, Coleman. That’s a serious class of studs (assuming they stick. I’m sure the massive money will keep them there despite the **** performances).

He’s trying to bag his way to the top and while it normally works, he’s had so many idiotic decisions matched with savant play calling it’s hard to get a read on the possibility for being great given he did have tons of talent at Ole Miss, too, but is always like a roller coaster running his programs.

One of his ex Ole Miss qbs (Bo Wallace) after yesterday totally outed Freeze as being as selfish as it gets, always throws his guys under the bus when he doesn’t get what he wants, and would never send his son to play for him.
