Proof of Concept at QB

Have people actually watched Mateer play?

He's a fun player and great athlete but he's very much in the mold of John Rhys Plumlee at UCF. He's a limited passer and I don't see them going for that type of QB.

I’m shocked that no one has mentioned Quinn Ewers. Injuries have opened the door to Arch Manning making a strong push while simultaneously Quinn’s draft stock has fallen.

If Quinn’s draft grade isn’t where he wants it he very well could be in the portal. If that’s the case, he’d be looking to do exactly what cam is doing.

The NFL doesn’t scout box scores. He’s been very productive now that he’s healthy.

The medical is important, but he looks fresh out there.
On another note, it feels like the tight ends have been way less involved since the bye. Gotta find ways to get them back in the mix.

I don’t know if he goes first. That’s tough for any tight end. I do believe he will go Day 2 at worst and be in the discussion for the top tight end.

I’d bet (in terms of days not rounds):

Day 1

Cam Ward

Day 2

Elijah Arroyo
Tyler Baron (unless he is deemed unreliable after the transfers)

Day 3 with a chance to be Day 2

Xavier Restrepo
Sam Brown
Akheem Mesidor
Jalen Rivers
Simeon Barrow

Day 3

Kiko Mauigoa
Damien Martinez
Jacolby George

UDFA with a chance to be drafted Day 3

Elijah Alston
Meesh Powell
Andres Borregales
If kiko gets drafted its a miracle lol..also mesidor should comeback i think his stock has fallen a bit.

I think arroyo should comeback as well, he could be one of the top targeted guys next year for us.

Only 25 tight ends have went first round since 2000 so thats completely unrealistic for arroyo production, and injury history. I think he would have a much higher draft stock if he has a great year next year as a vocal point of the offense and if he can stay healthy for a consecutive year
