Spring PractiSe 6: Saturday, March 22nd

100%. This is déjà vu all over again. That said, I have been a huge Chase Smith fan since he was a high schooler, so I’m hoping the hype is real this one time. We did see it with Arroyo. But I can’t think of another good example, and there are many many contrary proof points.
Arroyo always flashed and produced those first couple seasons despite the limited play due to injuries, etc…We just had to hope the injuries didn’t take too much away from him once he was fully healthy. Arroyo was a stud from the beginning and finally proved it with an injury free season.

Outside of the couple plays against Central Connecticut his freshman year, I never really saw Chase Smith flash or look impactful. He didn’t look good when he was in there. Granted, very limited play due to injuries. We are basically hoping he is all the sudden going to produce after 3+ years of injuries, when he never really showed signs from the beginning. Obviously, his injuries are completely different than Arroyo’s. I’d love for Chase to prove me wrong, but I’m not seeing it.

Out of all the Canes podcasts, 247 is the only one that sort of "keeps it real", especially David Lake. The downside to the show is that Gaby rambles and can't make a clear point.

The rest of the Canes shows are so full of homerism that it's nearly impossible to listen to them.
Guess it depends on what you want out of a show.... Keep in mind it is just a show by mostly fans..... I myself like to be entertained while I drive to and from work.... Locked on Canes , CanesInsight and OBB provide that for me.... And no I'm not speaking for anyone else.... Just saying everyone has different tastes.... In the end I applaud anyone willing to make a show and offer an opinion whether it may be serious or somewhat goofy....

That’s a fair point. Some people enjoy a fan podcast where it’s all positive.

I’m a little different where I prefer some realism. Let me know who’s great AND who’s bad. It’s hard to find that but I think 247 is the best in that regard.

Bruh you stay complaining about lack of talent and blah blah blah! No team has that many big fast and strong guys at every position like you are wanting! They just don’t! You don’t need that to be a good team. This year’s champs, Ohio state had a few guys like that, but not everywhere. All your takes just be wild!!! It’s year after year after year too! 😂

There are years where the national champion has holes, you’re right. But they always have elite talent somewhere and very deep in talent everywhere. And they’re always striving to have elite talent everywhere. Certainly, when we were at our best, we were putting out five or more guys in the first two rounds Every year. Which means most of our starters were top NFL talent because we also had underclassmen starting. Talent is 70% of the formula.

Why would that be Hilarious? You don’t think he is talented enough? Can’t gain 10lbs Between now & Fall? Are you a Coach?
It's hilarious to me specifically because while he was being recruited as a CB I was one of the few who said explicitly he ain't it & wasn't very good at Corner.

Expectedly, it was met with much ire & pushback.

So it made me laugh to read/hear that he was working with the Safeties, because ultimately that's where he'll have to be if he wants to play & actually be good in the future.

Had a great game vs penn st and was good vs osu the 1st time they played. Devonta smith won the heisman at 170. Worthy was in the 160s. Waddle was like 175-180 at bama
I am not going to lie DS went off and still surprises me till this day he has survived this long, but good to have Brown at the other side of the field to help him and top that off with the best OL anyone has had in years
