Agree and I’d even argue that their DL MIGHT be better than ours. I think klub has always been overrated but give him credit - he had a nice year last year. At RB, I’m not sure who their guy is but I’m sure they have talent there.

OSU is stacked as well but breaking in a new QB is always dicey proposition. They did lose some monsters at DL, though.

IMO, we’re still missing key pieces and are not good enough yet to make a serious run in the playoffs. We’re close but we need another All ACC type at LB, DT, WR. Mario needs to get those 3 guys and we need to stay healthy at key positions. I think he knows that, too, and will make the right moves.

I think the top end DT talent is on this roster, just needs one more DT for depth

I think we've seen him make plays here and there. He's not going to be all-conference, but I can see him in the 2-deep. Either way, we've come a long way from Brad Jennings being a starter. Remember that?

Have we really come a long way from Brad Jennings being a starter? I want to believe that, but my eyes tell me no.

I did feel that way during the 2023 season when our lb’s played ok. None of them were awesome, but Kiko, Bissainthe, and KJ Cloyd were decent. Thought we were going to turn the corner in 2024, but we regressed badly at that position.

In fairness to Jennings (and Flagg) our DC’s Diaz/Baker had them crashing into lineman and running to the sidelines with them. Guidry had too many exotic packages and had our DL constantly stunting which put too much pressure on our lb’s. I’m really hoping Heatherman can turn this unit around with his more “simplified” approach.

Yeah I can get with that. If our guys reach their potential, we are def better but until then, Clemson has a better DL.

Didn't really hear much about him here before or after his commitment.

I never said that they are not stacked but I’m saying they don’t have elite players in every position like you’re saying that any team should have.. it’s unrealistic. I bet their coaches in meetings say “well he’s our best guy there so just play him” every team has some lunchpale guys and veterans

they are stacked, no one is denying that. But they have some okay dudes in there and some lunch pale guys. You just see the elite guys that make the plays. I had this kind *** response but the site continues to randomly refresh!

Who is returning on Clemson DL that separates them so far ? Peter Woods I believe left but I could be wrong, I can't recall them having a double digit sack guy since that Ferrell, Wilkins, Lawrence, etc group left for the league.

They return TJ Parker, who had 11 sacks last season. Peter Woods is also back, and he is the best returning interior DL in all of CFB.

I think the POTENTIAL top end DT talent is on this roster, just need to hope and pray they live up to it. Also need one more solid DT for depth.

We have better team talent than Clemson for sure. They have better development still which is something Dabo has exceeded at his whole tenure there. The last 2 seasons were a dip, but of course in the ACC, he still succeeds, the opposite of Miami. Coaching! Their WR room is very nice, but so is ours. Their's is proven now. That said, Dabo stoops to low's to win that I don't respect. Much like Belichick. When we sucked, it didn't matter. It mattered last season, even when our D was so bad, we weren't a real contender. We could have still reached the playoff. If you know what I speak of, you know. They have a very good team this season. We will see how this knew ACC Champ format plays out. I want to beat them, badly. Be petty in victory, Mario. Develop these kids in season. If we do that after 20 years, we should beat that chump.

Jojo strengths tho they made him a five star is his elite ball skills & body control. That makes him catch anything his way and his route running skills is dam good. People that watch him says he's gotten much stronger and runs in 4.4 range

Also I realize this won’t be popular but Elijah Lofton a guy that doesn’t have a specific position being our “best player” isn’t exactly what I hoped to hear
