Position battles going into Fall camp

True...help is on the way; hoping that Bond and AQM can give McCord some help in getting after the QB. Also hoping that Shayon will improve as a player; the effort is there.

Where ever Shayon name is should be Bolded, underlined, italicized, quoted, highlighted, etc. Dude has heart of a champ but if no knees, no athleticism, no production doesnt scream bullseye, Im coming for your head (spot), then I dont know what is. I like the kid and he is great motivation for the little web series they do but Im tired of sucking and having every and any qb straight up giddy to face a university of miami defense. We need to be feared again and it starts with someone who can get to qb and make him feel pain.

"Show me a fighter who is all heart and I'll show you someone who is going to take a beating."

You have to respect Shayon, but the sad truth is that zero sacks from a starting DE won't get it done.
AQM I hope you are 240+ and as fast around the edge as your film suggests because we need you to shine.

I can dig that theory. Maybe I just have a soft spot (no homo)for Rodgers cuz buddy gets absolutely destroyed by fans and I just think he is out of position. Dont think he is a safety. And he impressed me against VTech when they put him in the slot. I just get REALLY nervous when we start talkin about rolling guys like Dortch or Hope or Burns out there at dime spot on Sept 7th. I really wish we had more time to get those guys ready. But **** it is what it is. May the best man win.

Feliciano will get the job back. We can agree on that too.

The problem is not that Rodgers is out of position, he's actually in nearly perfect position every **** time. Problem is he can't make the play on the ball.

Agree on Green and went back and bolded it, just not sure who beats him out. I actually like Bond better at DE, but it seems Golden wants him at SLB. Hopefully AQM is the rare exception, a DE that can make a positive impact as a true freshman.

-love the debate over olinemen its just something new to us its called depth

-really none of UFs WR scare me, FSU is when i need to see our DBs together

-i have never been big on KC JMO

WR: Hurns, Dorsett, Scott, Waters

DE: Green will start and Ricardo Williams could see time there

DT: Robinson, Pierre

SAM: Bond, Figs/McCord(passing downs)

MIKE: Gaines with Kirby getting more and more burn as the season wears on

CB: Gunter, Crawford, Howard at Nickel

S: Jenkins

I wouldn't sleep on Florida WR's Andre Dubose can stretch the field and Quinton Dunbar can play. Also theres no way our starting safety's aren't Bush/Jenkins.

I agree with this minus Ricardo Williams, he will never play here.

gunter and howard starting corners, i think crawford and dortch will get to play alot, and burns also will take over if any of those guys mess up, deon bush has it on lock i think and i wouldnt be suprised if aj highsmith gets an oppurtunity to start but i think rayshawn will play alot and start against more athletic teams. carter will get playing time and be an impact player on special teams also and anywhere he gets an oppurtunity.

denzel and fig on the outside with gaines starting in the middle with kirby getting to play alot and may start games to. blue, bond, and tyriq will play alot to.

d line much improved hopefully.

overall it looks like we are pretty athletic and fast and fun to watch cant wait to see us play florida and beat them.

I hope we see more of the 3-4 look this year than 4-3. Really think we have some talent at LB. Curious to see how we use it.

Only problem with is, we dont have a lot of space eater DL to clog up running lanes. I am excited to see the defense and the steps they take to be a better unit.

I think Bunche can win the guard spot over Feliciano. Bunche had a great spring and he is way better at the guard spot than he is at tackle. Feliciano is better at pulling and cutting folks down field. Bunche is better at winning battles at the line of scrimmage at the point of attack, which I think is a better asset.

I also believe that our best line up would be to have Bunche and Feliciano at guards, Linder at center, with Flowers and Henderson at Tackles. Gadbois could be the swing tackle, Wheeler the swing guard and McDermott backing up Linder. Throw in Isidora and we are able to play 9 guys on that line! That's Depth!!!

Sorry bruh. But dont tell Bunche he wont get in the 5. Im not counting that guy out just yet. And dont count out Kacy Rodgers gettin a look at that Nickel spot. He played well there toward the end of the year. And I dont know if I trust Dortch or Burns there yet. Maybe the loser of Crawford/Howard will slide there and Rodgers/Dortch/Hope can fight for the dime spot. Burns has got to fight through some tall weeds to get on the field at DB. I think he might start out backing up Jenkins/Highmith. And Carter backs up Bush.

Who is Bunche beating out? Flowers and Henderson are the better players at T and Fleliciano and Linder are better at G. I like Bunche a lot but I like the other kids better.

I also hope K. Rodgers sees the field as little as possible next year, only on special teams if needed.

Having multiple talented OL is a good problem to have. They will all play a lot so whether he beats them out or not will not matter to me. Finally, we are building depth!!!!

I'm most interested to see if Green remains our starting DE and if he does, how much PT does he get throughout the game.

I think Golden and D respect him so much that they don't want to bench him, but at the same time know that he needs to get better in passing situations. He may be starter in name only next year.

I always felt Green was a better run-stuffing DE. Maybe they use him for obvious running downs, and then sub him out in passing downs?

I also feel like there was nobody to take his job last year. This year hopefully one of the youngsters will step up. Maybe J. Hamilton will make the leap over the summer.

For some reason I keep forgetting about Hamilton while I'm trying to force Green out the lineup in my mind.

On the play to Dorsett last year against NCST, barely setting his feet, he threw is over 60 yards on a line.

Question. How far can Morris throw?
Over that mountain.
